No impression on clear leaders on hurdling debut when finishing sixth of 25 beaten 46L at Naas earlier this month. Needs to rediscover the form that brought a couple of bumper wins in August/September.

Lightly raced gelding but not much to shout about in three dismal maiden hurdle efforts to date, well down the field on each occasion including on first run for 682 days in a Fairyhouse 2m maiden last month.

Well held but far from disgraced in a couple of starts over hurdles since last month. Probably best watched on third maiden hurdle start unless the subject of market interest.

The trainer and jockey combination of Gordon Elliott and Davy Russell can get off the mark over hurdles with THE VERY MAN at the second time of asking here. The Gigginstown House Stud-owned gelding held every chance when coming down at the last on hurdling debut at Punchestown last month and can find the winning thread here holding off the attentions of the £200,000 J P McManus-owned Unexpected who makes his Irish debut for trainer Willie Mullins. Jason The Militant was last seen finishing third of 14 behind Envoi Allen in a bumper here in December over 2m on good ground can grab a place.
