Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Craig Nichol| T: K Dalgleish| OR:  118| D
3/1
Rules chasing debut seeking a hat-trick following Class 4 handicap hurdle wins at Kelso and Musselburgh (2m); the fences (bred to jump) are arguably less of a concern than a fast-rising handicap mark (118).
2
Horse silk
Ettila De Sivola17
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: B S Hughes| T: J Ewart| OR:  115| C
4/1
Kept on strongly when winning on hurdles debut here (2m1f maiden) last December; didn't progress as swiftly as expected thereafter (twice placed); raced keenly and weakened on chasing debut at Ayr (2m4½f, soft); drop back in trip a plus.
3

Our Lucas28
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: Ross Chapman| T: D Bourke| OR:  112| D
28/1
3-15 over hurdles, and handles various underfoot conditions (strongest on soft); very poor in three starts over fences for the Irish handler P.M.Cloke; monitored only for signs of improvement now back on these shores for Daragh Burke.
4
Horse silk
Torrid26
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-5| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: M & D Easterby| OR:  111
18/1
Fair Flat performer (70-rated); placed on all five starts over hurdles, including twice at this track (2m1f); is clearly race-fit ahead of his chasing debut, that said, others appeal as more obvious candidates.
5
Horse silk
Cybalkot1219
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: Jonathan England| T: S England| OR:  109| BFWS
8/1
Maiden (0-11) who returns from wind surgery for new connections (ex-David Bridgwater) following a 219-day absence (also fitted with a tongue-tie); has shown ability over 2m at Southwell; just the type to step forward for the England combination.
6
Horse silk
Inca Gold28
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-1| J: R P McLernon| T: B Haslam| OR:  107| D
8/1
25-1 winner of a Gowran Park novice hurdle (2m, good) for Joseph O'Brien last November; modest over fences so far (0-7) and continues to slide in the weights as a result; is worth a cautious market check.
7
Horse silk
Lough Legend19
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: Danny Cook| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR:  102
16/1
Didn't exactly excel over hurdles (0-4), although he does deserve an opportunity to show himself in a more positive light over fences (debut); some recent signs that the Sue Smith yard are slowly returning to better form.
8
Horse silk
Ringaringarosie44
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-6| J: Danny McMenamin(5)| T: M Todhunter| OR:  98| CD
9/4
Her 2019 Sedgefield form figures read (732121); 7lb higher than when making all to beat Instant Replay by 4½L here (2m3½f, soft) 44 days ago; is difficult to ignore, with the drop back in trip arguably in her favour.

Forecasts

Ringaringarosie (9/4), Goldencard (3/1), Ettila De Sivola (4/1), Cybalko (8/1), Inca Gold (8/1), Lough Legend (16/1), Torrid (18/1), Our Lucas (28/1)

13:00 Sedgefield - 14 November 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Goldencard switches to fences seeking a hat-trick following a dramatic recent success at Musselburgh. He should take the switch to the larger obstacles in his stride (on pedigree) but a fast-rising handicap mark of 118 is more of a pressing concern. Therefore, at the other end of the weights spectrum a more positive argument can be made for the Sedgefield specialist RINGARINGAROSIE. This front-running mare is already a winner of three chases (Sedgefield x2 and Hexham), yet can still compete from a rather lenient looking handicap mark of 98.
