1
Horse silk
100/1
Moderate form in four point-to-points (pulled up twice); unfancied and beaten 50L in maiden hurdle at Clonmel in October; hard to get excited about.
2
Horse silk
6/1
Fell on hurdles debut before being sent back to bumpers to restore some confidence; likely to be ready on seasonal reappearance and looks a leading contender.
3
Horse silk
Davy's Dilemma14
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Flanagan| T: N Meade
8/1
Son of Sixties Icon, achieved a rating of 86 on the Flat in England before joining Noel Meade; creditable effort after absence at Galway last month; should be fitter and stronger here and looks to have an excellent chance.
4
Horse silk
Elixir D'Ainay300
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: M P Walsh| T: W P Mullins
13/8
French bumper winner at Lyon Parilly as a three-year-old and made an encouraging enough start behind Vision D'Honneur at Punchestown in January; aimed at Grade 1 events and should be able to take this in his stride.
5
Horse silk
Exciting Oscar328
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: D E Mullins| T: D Ahern
66/1
First foal; related to some useful staying types; no real sign of immediate brilliance on three point-to-point starts in 2018; difficult to see him being good enough.
6
Horse silk
Falkland Castleh1,t153
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: P D Kennedy| T: Miss S Barkley
100/1
Gelding by Kalanisi out of a Linamix mare; dam won a couple of novice hurdles over 2m - 2m1f; only beat one home in a 10-runner novice hurdle at Perth in June; little sign of any light at the end of the tunnel.
7
Horse silk
66/1
German bred son of Getaway; should have learned plenty from a recent outing at Galway but was beaten a long way and unlikely to be troubling the judge.
8
Horse silk
Longhouse Poett1190
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: D N Russell| T: M Brassil
9/4
Smooth winner of his bumper at Punchestown in May having shown promise in point-to-points; quite a big ask against some smart rivals on hurdles debut but should run his race.
9
Horse silk
66/1
75-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer Ollie Pears. No impression and never a factor on maiden hurdle debut at Roscommon over a similar trip when last seen in September. More needed.
10
Horse silk
66/1
€12,000 son of Tobougg out of a mare who was a winning hurdler. Fell in a maiden hurdle at Gowran Park in March on debut and highly likely to struggle against much more fancied rivals.
11
Horse silk
Askmenow33
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: S A Shortall| T: L P Cusack
100/1
Niclely bred for hurdling; given gentle introduction at Listowel in June but was pulled up when last seen out at Tipperaray last month; hard to make a case for in current form.
12
Horse silk
Et Dite814
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: Paul Townend| T: W P Mullins
5/1
Won two bumpers in France (including a Grade 3 contest); first start for Willie Mullins and it will be interesting how much market support there is for the daughter of Limnos.
13
Horse silk
33/1
Caught the eye on hurdling debut at Tipperary over a similar trip finishing second of 14 on good ground over 12 months ago. Last of 18 in a Gowran Park bumper last month and others hold stronger profiles here.
14
Horse silk
High Viz13
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-5| J: Sean O'Keeffe(7)| T: P Nolan
33/1
Well beaten in a point-to-point contest, a bumper and most latterly over hurdles; difficult to see where any improvement will come from.
15
Horse silk
Lotus Hill12
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: M J Molloy(7)| T: P Nolan
66/1
Fourth in first bumper but well held on subsequent runs including over hurdles; up against it here once again.
16
Horse silk
100/1
Pulled up in a point-to-point in January and well beaten on first try under rules in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel in late October; easy to pass over.

14:50 Naas - 9 November 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

ELIXIR D'AINAY looks the class animal in the line up based on her French form and is entered in a Grade 1 race early next year. If he is good enough to get competitive at that level he should have no problem putting in a good performance here. Column Of Fire fell on his only hurdles outing and will have had his confidence restored over the break by his trainer. Expect him to run a solid race. Et Dite is hard to assess but has done nothing wrong on the racecourse so far and if translating her bumper form to hurdles then she can go well.
  1. Elixir D'Ainay
  2. Et Dite
  3. Column Of Fire
