Newcomer from a yard who are 1-34 with their 2yo's this year. Second foal, dam 2yo AW maiden. Would be an unlikely first-time out winner in this company, yard are 1-56 with first-time out juveniles since 2015.
Decent pedigree (half-brother to several winners); made an impression on his debut when finishing midfield at Kempton (7f), leaving something to work on. Not unduly punished, more to come on his second start.
Strong in the betting for his 6f Newbury debut (5-2 favourite) he showed plenty although not as sharp as the winner but staying on well under a considerate ride. Never nearer than at the finish he's sure to improve for his initial experience.
The most experienced in the field having had three starts he shown some fairly useful form although he was easily brushed aside when last seen at Newbury (7f). May have needed that run after a break, comes here after some more time off.
Half-brother to 2yo 6f winner Swinging Jean he was well held on his Brighton debut (7f, soft). Achieved very little in that outing apart from gaining some experience; may show more with that run tucked away but others appeal more.
Blinkers (first-time) reached for on his third start having gone backwards from his debut when weak in the betting at Kempton last time over 6f. Could still progress though and isn't one to give up on just yet.
Very little to be enthusiastic about from his Kempton 6f debut where he beat just one rival home. Slowly way he made very little impression; faces a difficult task here and wouldn't be one to attract much interest.
Neither start has contained anything that could be construed as having much ability faring no better on her second start after three month off than she had on her debut. Can only be watch until at least gaining a mark.
Knew more on her second start than on her debut this time with a tongue-tie on and the hood removed making her AW debut at Wolverhampton. Those two pieces of equipment are combined this time; more needed in this company.
Forecasts
King Ragnar (11/10), Ottoman Court (6/4), Creek Horizon (5/1), Streeton (20/1), Rains Of Castamere (33/1), Tyger Bay (50/1), Casaruan (80/1), Joanna Vassa (100/1), Lethal Blast (100/1)
The experience that Ottoman Court has gained in his three starts so far could be put to good use here especially as he’s bumped into some useful types along the way but he does have an absence to overcome. KING RAGNAR may just be a little bit sharper on this occasion having shown plenty of promise on his Newbury debut and it’s not hard to see him improving again. Creek Horizon and Streeton have both shown enough to suggest that they can win a race of this ilk although neither have yet matched the level of the principals.
