Fairly talented performer on the level for this yard who starts out over obstacles for the first time. Interesting recruit to the jumping ranks. However, does need to bounce back from finishing last of 12 at Kempton (1m4f; standard to slow).
Work to do to reverse form with Coniston Spa who he finished 20-length behind on hurdles debut at Sedgefield (2m; soft) recently. Seems to have a preference for better ground also.
Rated 62 on the flat, and now starts out over hurdles for yard who are yet to have a winner in either code for over a month. Would be a surprise if he were good enough to play a prominent role.
Stayed on to finish third on his rules/hurdles debut at Sedgefield (2m1f; soft) last month. Should improve a fair bit from that experience which gives him solid place claims in this contest.
Ran in accordance with odds of 125-1 when tailed-off before two from home at Huntingdon (2m; good) on hurdles debut last month. Similarly quiet display expected again, and so he is best watched.
One of two in this contest for his stable. Looks to be the second-string. Took a backwards step from encouraging hurdles debut at Wincanton (2m; good) on seasonal return when only 10th of 11 at Stratford (2m; soft) last time. Needs to do much more.
Won a pair of bumpers at Newcastle which was sandwiched by a runner-up effort when second to Alright Sunshine at Musselburgh (2m; good). Was then tailed off in the Grade 2 Aintree bumper (2m1f; soft), but this is easier on seasonal return. Player.
Form of his third on stable/hurdles debut back in April is decent. However, he was bitterly disappointing on seasonal reappearance when well-fancied (5/4f) at Fakenham (2m; good). Well-beaten into fourth, but is not one to give up on just yet.
Still held a live chance before suffering a heavy fall on hurdles debut at Southwell (2m; good) in June. Been given time to recover since. Although he does need to prove himself on the forecast ground, he has place claims if jumping holds up.
Made an encouraging start to life over hurdles when third at Perth (2m; heavy) in the summer. However, she was tailed off at Hexham (2m; good) last time out. Needs to bounce back, and so is best watched for now.
Dual bumper-scorer last season before being pitched into the Grade 2 Aintree Mares' Bumper where she was out of her depth. Failed to justify favouritism (9/4f) on seasonal/hurdles debut at Huntingdon (2m3f; good). Worth another chance if settling.

An intriguing event to kickstart proceedings, with Coniston Spa an interesting contender after he looked to be learning on the job at Sedgefield on rules/hurdles debut. He looks more of a long-term project though. Notre Pari is not discounted despite running nowhere near the level as was expected on his seasonal return last month. The same comments apply to Timetochill who failed to live up to expectations on her comeback run, but could go much closer if learning to settle. In an open race though, the selection is MALYSTIC who did little wrong in bumpers in the North last season. He can get off the mark over hurdles at the first time of asking.
