Tough and genuine type who has 12 win and place positions on the board from 36 career Flat starts on turf. Winner over C&D, hitting the frame on a further two occasions from three starts over the combination. Leading player.
Seven-race maiden on turf. Well held and never a factor in eight career starts for trainer Ger Lyons in Ireland. Appears to have a mountain to climb on stable debut.
Winner of two of his six starts last season but has found it a bit of a struggle in a number of starts this term. Not one to totally leave out of calculations.
Won for the fifth time in her career on turf when landing a soft ground handicap over C&D last month off a 5lb lower mark. Life more difficult carrying 5lb extra but very much a leading player here.
Sole win in six seasonal starts came when landing a Newmarket 6f handicap in August on good to firm ground off a 2lb lower mark. Beaten since and possibly best watched unless market indicates otherwise.
A three-time C&D winner who finished fourth of nine beaten 2L over the combination on soft ground last month when collared inside the final furlong by Bellevarde. Repeat of recent efforts should see him in the hunt for more prize money.
Failed to land a hat-trick of wins when struggling a little off a revised mark at Newbury late last month on heavy ground finishing 10th of 14 beaten 14L. Better than last run suggests and capable of bouncing back.
Winning for the sixth time when successful in a heavy-ground 5f handicap at Musselburgh in August. Held in a number of starts since including finishing behind a couple of today's rivals over C&D late last month.
10-race maiden improving of late. Posted a career best effort over C&D late last month finishing second of nine beaten 1L behind Bellevarde. Capable of turning the tables on his conqueror now 5lb better off with the mare.
Won for the second time in his career when landing a soft ground handicap at Brighton last month off a 4lb lower mark. Looks to be an improving sort and merits plenty of respect.
Forecasts
Show Palace (9/2), Bellevarde (9/2), Michaels Choice (5/1), Hieronymus (7/1), Big Les (7/1), Afandem (8/1), Smokey Lane (9/1), Colonel Frank (10/1), Red Pike (22/1), Andre Amar (66/1)
The Dutch Art gelding HIERONYMUS can get off the mark for connections at the 11th time of asking. The three-year-old overcame a tardy start to run winner Bellevarde to 1L over C&D late last month. Ridden by jockey Tom Queally once again, it can be assumed he will get his mount out quicker this time round at he attempts to gain revenge. Show Palace, Michaels Choice and Colonel Frank appear to be the pace in the race and it is more than likely one will hang on to grab a place.
