Course winner that has also won over a similar trip. Clearly better than his most recent start at Galway over an extended mile on soft to heavy ground last month suggests. No forlorn hope.

Well held in a couple of starts here when in the care of trainer David Marnane. Well held and no impression behind Scream over 7f at this venue last month. Needs to improve.

Boasts a win and a place at this venue from six starts at the track. Fifth of 13 beaten 3½L behind Scream over 7f last month with Little Clarinet a further 2L in rear. One to note in the market as post time approaches.

Placed over C&D from four starts over the combination. Form since August is a concern but capable of bouncing back if in the mood.

Landed a Laytown and Dundalk double in September with a couple of hard fought victories over 6f/7f. Well held off his revised mark in a couple of spins since and liable to find a few stronger once again.

Has hit the frame here on one occasion from three visits to the track over 12 months ago. Winning on turf over the summer for trainer David Brown in Britain before watching her form go into a tailspin. Improved on stable debut but more required.

11-race maiden who has not been discredited in a number of starts on turf over the summer, not beaten far on several occasions. Could be an interesting recruit to the surface.

Solid record of three wins over C&D from 10 starts over the combination. Ran well in defeat over 1m here late last month and rates a leading contender.

12-race maiden. Earlier progression in the season on turf appears to have abated and others look to hold sturdier claims in this contest.

Four-race maiden well held on each occasion beaten over 36L on most recent start at Galway over 7f last month. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Rider of Piper Bomb, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was reluctant to race and was slowly away when finishing last of 14 over 7f late last month. Hard to trust.

14:15 Dundalk - 6 November 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The Denis Hogan-trained SIR OTTOMAN can get back to winning ways here in a wide-open claimer to start proceedings. The six-year-old won over C&D in September before a couple of setbacks running off a revised mark last month. Winner at Ayr over a similar trip in July, Nigg Bay can emerge as the biggest danger while Wild Bob Cat for trainer Henry De Bromhead and C&D winner Master Speaker can compete for remaining prize money. If ridden a little closer to the pace in the early stages, the Joseph O'Brien-trained Syrena could go well.
  1. Sir Ottoman
  2. Nigg Bay
  3. Master Speaker
