Made an excellent start to his career when winning over C&D early last month (two next time out winners already out of that contest). Now has to give away a penalty with some potentially useful sorts lurking in the wings; should still make an impact.

Given a considerate introduction when fourth on debut at York (1m, soft) doing more than enough to suggest that he can win races with the experience behind him. Yard 2-21 with their AW 2yo this year; 3-58 overall.

Yard 4-71 with their juveniles this year (1-26; AW); this one has raced twice now and been a shade too keen on each occasion but improving on his second start at Newcastle over 7f. Will find weaker events than this to make his mark in.

One of two that the yard run in this. Newcomer, price dropped 50,000 guineas from foal to yearling, half-brother to several winners, including very smart winner up to 1m4f Temida. Looks a longer term prospect, yard not known for 2yo debutants.

Not that well fancied on debut at Newmarket (14-1) in a 7f maiden which has proved to be very sound form. Open to plenty of progress up in trip stepping onto the AW for the first time although the wide draw and an absence do pose some questions.

Shown a fair level of ability on both starts but was beaten again at odds-on last time when switched to the AW and dropped to 7f. Hard to write him off on that basis though; still holds a Derby entry and likely to be suited by the return to 1m.

Stable 1-29 with 2yo newcomers (0-4 here); half-brother to useful 2-y-o 1m winner Brutal, dam, 1m winner, closely related to some smart staying winners. May well need this debut and looks one for the future and best watched.

Expensive purchase for this yard (255,000 guineas yearling); half-brother to three winners, including useful 1m2f-1m4f winner Tilly's Chilli. Gelded for his debut, yard have just a 4% strike-rate with newcomers in the past five years.

Yard 5-17 with newcomers this year; 50,000 guineas yearling; closely related to 2yo 6f winner Castleacre and half-brother to numerous winners. Attractive pedigree and with the yard's record with 2yo's this year, very much worth a market check.

One of two runners for this powerful stable this one a newcomer by American Pharoah (US Triple Crown winner); $800,000 yearling. Half-brother to four winners, yard 13-58 with 2yo debutants this year; market strength will be interesting.

Newcomer from a yard which is 0-8 with juvenile debutants in the last five years. Brother to three winners, including smart 1m3f-2m winner Blakeney Point and smart 1m-1m4f winner Lady Tiana. Pedigree looks sound but given a difficult introduction.

Yard have a near 19% strike-rate with 2yo newcomers this year so worth taking a look at this already gelded son of Free Eagle, cost €60,000 yearling. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 7f Absolutely So.

Well related newcomer from a yard that also run First Receiver so this one looks the second choice. Half-brother to French 1m2f winner Aghareed and US 7f/1m winner Munasara, both useful. Yard 5-38 (13%) with 2yo newcomers this year.

Improved from his debut although still looking in need of the experience over 7f here having made his debut on turf over the same trip. Both outings have suggested that 1m plus will suit but does need to progress to trouble the main players.

Forecasts

First View (3/1), First Receiver (10/3), Grand Bazaar (4/1), Thibaan (8/1), Bucephalus (8/1), Pharoah King (10/1), Carlos Felix (20/1), Zambezi Magic (25/1), Lord Of The Sky (25/1), Sir Dandy (33/1), King Of The North (66/1), Swooping Eagle (66/1), Deposit (100/1), Grand Canal (100/1)

17:10 Kempton - 5 November 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The impression that First View made on his debut was a good one and the form of his C&D win has proved to be sound but he won’t find it easy conceding weight to some who have already made a good impression. That group would include Bucephalus who will come on from his York debut, Grand Bazaar despite his two odds-on defeats so far and most of all FIRST RECEIVER who still holds a Derby entry but will have to be smart to overcome a wide draw although his previous experience will help from a Newmarket race that is proving decent form. Of the newcomers Thibaan, Lord Of The Sky and most of all Pharoah King are worthy of a market check in what should prove to be an enlightening contest.
