Glance Backp,t193
Age: 8|  Weight: 12-0| J: Jamie Bargary| T: Mrs E Bishop| OR:  102| D
9/1
Front-running chaser who ran consistently well in low-grade handicaps throughout last season after winning a Bangor off 3lb lower mark last December. Not quite at his best when last seen but back from a break and appears to be still on a fair mark.

18/1
One who isn't without ability but has a quirky streak that often undermines his racing style as it did when last seen with blinkers on for the first-time. Returns on a decent mark with the yard in good form given his nature hard to recommend.

In good form in early 2018 but since then his record has a very uneven look to it despite being given a chance by the handicapper (16lb below his last winning mark). Probably needed his recent Carlisle return but makes limited appeal overall.

Rather unlucky in two starts since winning at Fontwell early last month (2m4f), falling next time and then taking time to warm to his task over 3m last time before slipping up turning for home. Back to 2m now; interesting if his confidence is intact.

13/2
C&D winner on his final start for his old yard; yet to win for this yard but is ticking along nicely and ran a creditable race last time over hurdles. Now back over fences the fact that he's 11lb below his last winning mark makes him of interest.

0-18 under Rules he's been placed off higher marks than this in the past but continues to frustrate despite the handicapper cutting him some slack. May well have needed his comeback run so not written off but hard to win with.

Won a couple of times over fences late last year (both times under this rider) the most recent over C&D. Often goes from the front but didn't last time when taking a step back in the right direction (race rather feel apart); can't be ignored.

Wisecrackert18
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-8| J: Bryony Frost| T: B I Case| OR:  82
9/2
Long-standing and very frustrating sort who has had numerous chances to break his maiden but has steadfastly refused to take any of them. Often let down by his jumping he comes with obvious risks having thrown away chances like this before.

Way Of The World33
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-1| J: Sean Houlihan(3)| T: Sheila Lewis| OR:  75| BF| C
8/1
Form over obstacles leaves a fair bit to be desired although he hasn't had many chances over fences all told. Beaten favourite last time (may have needed the run); not on a bad mark if he can find some progress but that's far from certain.

Ran one of his better races last time wearing this headgear combination dropping markedly in trip from 3lb out of the weights. Bumped into a real improver (winner again since) on that occasion; no guarantee he will back that up this time.

Age: 9|  Weight: 10-0| J: W T Kennedy| T: J D Frost| OR:  71

Got himself back on track after a short break last time at Stratford taking advantage of a basement mark just failing to get the job done. A repeat of that performance with a tongue-tie again applied would see him go close but not sure to do so.

Hard to say how many races he's thrown away in the past when travelling well and not going through with his effort gaining a serial loser tag quite easily. Easy enough to take on for win purposes with his record a fragile one.

15:20 Hereford - 4 November 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A race which could well see some fun and games with several of the field coming into this with profiles that are less than reliable. Agent Westy wouldn’t be one of those but he has proved luckless of late and has to cope with return to 2m. Glance Back, Centreofexcellence and Golander all have claims but the trio as a group like to go from the front and that opens up the possibility of a fast pace and something coming from off it to steal the prize. THOMAS BLOSSOM would fit that bill ideally returning to fences and he’s given a reluctant vote. Wisecracker and Champion Chase both get another chance to break their maiden but backing them to do so comes with obvious risks.
