Easy to back when making her successful nursery debut at Ffos Las over this trip she's yet to quite back up that performance in two subsequent starts. Proved a real disappointment last time (first try over 6f); wide draw may prove awkward.

Showed promise when she was qualifying for a mark; makes her handicap debut having dropped to 5f last time on her first AW try at Kempton. Settled better than before last time; ought to do better in this sphere, will want further than this in time.

Drops to 5f for the first time making her handicap debut having run over 6f/7f on all her starts so far. Below form since her third at Windsor over 6f in July failing on her second AW start last time; this trip looks on the short side.

Yet to break his maiden but has essentially gone the wrong way since his debut especially so since switched to handicaps over sprint trips. Tried in headgear (left off last time); still looked well below his best last time; drop to 5f may help.

Modest form so far although she has improved run-to-run whilst qualifying for a mark and has a positive profile entering handicaps for the first time. Had two previous attempts here; mark isn't a lenient one but should be seen as a workable one.

Well held over 6f when qualifying for a handicap mark last time finding the test on heavy ground far too much. Yet to show any improvement on her debut run; may do better now that she enters handicaps on the AW dropping back to the minimum trip.

Her form so far can't be classed as anything more than very modest with her AW debut last time seeing no progress from her previous two starts. Now goes handicapping for the first-time complete with a hood, limited appeal despite a changed scenario.

Remains with one standout effort in a Wolverhampton seller over 7f (helped by a strong pace scenario); nowhere near that level of performance last two runs. Not seen to best effect last time (handicap debut); hard to conjure up much enthusiasm.

Six starts into her career and its not hard to draw the conclusion that she's a poor individual capable of only limited form over sprint distances. Yet to race on the AW but it's unlikely that will provide the major catalyst that would be needed.

16:30 Chelmsford City - 2 November 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A low-key start to proceedings with the majority of the field having something to prove and it may be best to side with one of the lightly-raced nursery debutants in the shape of VELETA who shaped well enough on this surface and over this trip at Kempton last time to think that she could pick up something like this. Apache Bay would also fall into that category and from a friendly draw she’s another open to improvement having not been tried in this sphere before along with Falacho. Of those that have run in handicaps before Lady Phyllis can be given another chance dropping to this trip having ruined her chance last time by not settling, her previous starts gave some hope at this level.
  1. Veleta
  2. Apache Bay
  3. Falacho
