Won his first four races here, placed three times since to build up a very consistent record (also appreciates Tapeta). In poor form on turf of late although his latest effort should be excused; likely to show more now returned to Fibresand.

Three-time Tapeta winner who made his debut on Fibresand over 5f last time (trip too short to get involved); didn't look totally suited by the surface either. Back on his last winning mark; should stay this far but far from totally convincing claims.

Needs no introduction here having won eight times on Fibresand, three victories to his name at this trip. In good form on turf this year also, back to form last time (suited by race scenario); looks a leading player (back on last winning AW mark).

Slightly quirky sort who has spurned some decent winning opportunities this year hence has plenty of decent place form to his name. Went close again last time (defeated by a 3yo improver); mark workable, one of two making Fibresand debut.

Has a nice symmetry to his Fibresand form figures (4321); return here after having recorded three turf wins since his last success on this surface. Rare poor effort last time on the back of a career-best; had a busy season, has to bounce back.

Still without a win despite flattering to deceive on plenty of occasions as his place form figures indicate. Failed to build on the promise of his previous starts last time (slow away); visor now applied for his second attempt on Fibresand.

Done very little wrong on his three Fibresand visits twice winning over C&D earlier in the off higher marks each time. That fall in the weights plus a return to this C&D enabled him to return to form last time; now has to back that up.

One of only two in the field that haven't played on the Fibresand before he also makes his stable debut having cost 18,000 guineas in July. Only lightly-raced he has already won a Dundalk 1m2f maiden; interesting down the line if he acts on Fibresand

A winner on his debut on Fibresand late last year he looks as though he's gradually working his way back to his best. Caught the eye on his penultimate start over 7f here (good effort on heavy turf last time, also 7f); of interest if he stays 1m.

Forecasts

Hammer Gun (5/2), Love Your Work (4/1), Elhafei (4/1), Ollivander (6/1), Al Erayg (13/2), Gremoboy (14/1), Mister Music (14/1), Nick Vedder (14/1), Vivax (40/1)

18:15 Southwell - 29 October 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

An open contest with plenty of sound Fibresand form on offer with the likes of Mister Music, Ollivander and Love Your Work all looking to relish the surface although that trio will run into some even stronger types. Hammer Gun can never be left out of the equation around here and the harder they go the better it will be for Derek Shaw’s charge who finds plenty for pressure; he’s sure to go close. Al Erayg has frustrated for the entire season but his stablemate GREMOBOY has shown he goes well here and as long as he stays this 1m trip his recent efforts put him in with a fine chance of landing his second victory here for an in-form yard.
  1. Gremoboy
  2. Hammer Gun
