Last win came two years ago but the Stowaway gelding has been lightly raced in the last 18 months. Worth a check in the market for yard who are eight from 36 runners in the last four years.

Winner of two of his five starts over hurdles but the gelding has not been seen since finishing down the field over C&D at this meeting 12 months ago when in the care of trainer Alan Fleming.

Regressing gelding now racing 12lb lower than last winning mark. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Inconsistent type who is one from seven over hurdles. Overall record casts doubt on his ability to get competitive in this contest.

Regularly hits the frame over the larger obstacles and reverts to hurdles here on a potentially lenient mark. Capable of a bold show here.

Off the mark over hurdles at the third attempt in a Limerick 2m hurdle in March. Beaten since including a heavy defeat on return to action at Gowran Park earlier this month. Tough task ahead.

One from ten hurdle starts who has been lightly raced in the last three years. Off the mark over the larger obstacles at the seventh attempt at Roscommon last month. Should be a leading contender back hurdling.

In solid and consistent form of late, getting off the mark over hurdles at the seventh time of asking for connections at Downpatrick in July. Fourth of 17 beaten over 9L at Listowel last month but not to be taken lightly here.

Deservedly off the mark at the 12th time of asking for connections when landing a Ballinrobe handicap hurdle last month over a similar trip off a 8lb lower mark. May be up against it from her revised mark.

Will have disappointed connections in a number of starts since January including when last seen in March finishing 40L adrift of the winner in a Wexford handicap hurdle. Below last winning mark but liable to find a couple stronger.

Winner of two of his 19 starts over hurdles but out of form since returning to the track in a couple of runs over timber since August. Will need to raise overall profile to play a role.

Le Hachette (3/1), Pivotal Flame (9/2), Russian Bill (5/1), Fitzhenry (11/2), Peaches And Cream (8/1), Gran Geste (10/1), Fit To Be Tied (10/1), Dom Dolo (14/1), Spancil Hill (16/1), Dashing Oscar (16/1), Foreign Secretary (20/1), Monkshood (33/1), Peace N' Milan (33/1)

16:00 Galway - 27 October 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The Noel Meade-trained RUSSIAN BILL was recently seen winning over the larger obstacles and comes into this race off a potentially handy mark back hurdling. The Kalanisi gelding can land the spoils ahead of the solid and consistent Peaches And Cream with the Paul Nolan-trained can muster a bold bid on his hurdling return. Le Hatchette, second of eight at this venue earlier this month should be considered with the Gordon Elliott-trained Monkshood capable of a return to form.
  1. Russian Bill
  2. Peaches And Cream
  3. Le Hachette
