Winner at the track the Turtle Island gelding is three from 26 over the larger obstacles, last winning at Kilarney in July over similar trip off a 5lb lower mark. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.

Off the mark for connections at the third time of asking over the larger obstacles when landing a soft ground contest over C&D last month off a 8lb lower mark. More needed but another bold effort likely.

Veteran, late to the chasing game, finishing fifth of 11 beaten 35L on debut over fences in a Punchestown beginners contest in June. Held over hurdles and in a point-to-point since, unlikely to be troubling the judge in this contest.

WAKE UP EARLY for owner J P McManus can add to his win over C&D last month by landing the spoils in this handicap despite a 8lb higher mark. The Doyen gelding traveled well on his most recent start before keeping on well under pressure to lead near the finish. Duhallow Paddy, beaten favourite on his last couple of starts over fences and top weight, Island Master can prove to be the biggest dangers. Our Bonus, if jumping fluently and the Tom Coyle-trained, Glacial Shadow should not be taken lightly.
