Scored on his debut at Kempton (1m) on the AW. He was unable to follow that up last time over this C&D as he was fourth of eight runners. Has to concede weight all round here but he must be considered.

Mukhadram gelding who was foaled on February 16 and cost 22,000 gns as a yearling. His dam was unraced but a half-sister to Eldalil who won over 7f. Look out for any strong market confidence on his debut.

Hot Streak gelding who was foaled on March 7 and cost 22,000 gns as a yearling. His dam was unraced but a sister to 1m winner Maywood. Likely to be better with a run under his belt but he is best to watch.

Had just one horse behind him on his debut at Kempton (1m) on the AW after going off at 66/1. He was always at the rear end of the field on that first run. Much more will be needed here to be in the mix.

Failed to shine on his debut at Nottingham over the extended 1m trip where he came home sixth of 10 runners after going off at 5/1. He was awkward coming out of the stalls on his first run. Should improve here. Can't discount.

Has had three appearances so far. He produced his best performance yet last time when he was fourth of 14 on the AW at Kempton (1m), finishing just 1L off the winner. Worth consideration here as he remains open to improvement.

Finished fourth of 10 on his opening start at Yarmouth (7f, heavy) where he kept on well at the finish after a slow start. Likely to build upon that now he has experience and is up in trip. Leading contender.

Mr Rusty18
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: Rossa Ryan| T: R Hannon
25/1
Failed to shine on his first appearance when he was eighth of 13 at Windsor (1m). He tried to chase the leaders with 2f to go but soon weakened down the field. Will need to improve on his second start. Others are preferred.

Horse silk
80/1
Harbour Watch gelding who was foaled on February 2. His dam won at trips between 7f-1m2f. Chances of success on his opening start are unlikely unless there is strong market confidence which would suggest otherwise.

Horse silk
66/1
Rio de La Plata colt who was foaled on February 13 and cost €36,000 as a two-year-old. His dam was unraced but a half-sister to 7½ winner Dundonnell. Best to watch on the opening run of his career.
Sea The Moon colt who was foaled on March 1 and cost €85,000 as a yearling. He is a half-brother to Temple Church who prevailed over 1m4f. Others make more of an appeal on their opening appearance.

7/1
Nathaniel colt who was foaled on February 11. His dam was unraced but a half-sister to Sajjhaa who won over 1m. This yard have to be respected with their newcomers. Likely type on his debut so he is worth thinking about.

66/1
Ruled Of The World colt who was foaled on March 30. His dam was a winner over 7f. He is closely related to Dora's Field who was successful over 1m2f. Should be better once he has some experience on his side.

14:15 Newbury - 25 October 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

MISHRIFF showed a lot of promise, particularly in the second half of the race, on his debut at Yarmouth. He is now stepping up in trip where he can break his maiden at the second attempt. Acquitted is already a winner and although he will need to concede weight to the rest of the field, expect him to be in contention at his second attempt at this C&D, while Favourite Moon is likely to produce more on his second appearance which may be enough to see him hit the frame.
