Useful hurdler (has won here over timber); showed that he needed a real stamina test over fences when third here over 3m when last seen (didn't look at his best). This test should suit and he has gone well fresh before; shortlist material.
Left his modest hurdles form well behind when making a surprise winning chase debut at Hexham recently (first-time visor) returning from a wind op. Took time to warm to his task (slow early); left in the lead at the last; more to prove.
Useful winning hurdler (won back-to-back handicaps, April/May, one here); ran some modest races after that before getting back on track over fences. Given plenty to do when runner-up to Buddha Scheme; mark fair switched to handicaps.
Trip will hold no fears having won over an extreme trip (4m) at Hexham last November (came from well off the pace). Shaped as if in good form after that (better than finishing position a couple of times); sound claims if ready to go after a break.
Has shown some quirks in the past but appeared to be in a good spell when winning twice in the spring at Wetherby and Hexham over 3m. Handicapper may have got to him after that; well beaten second when last seen; faces a stiff task here.
Enhanced his fine record at Hexham when winning there last time over 3m, rallied well to resume winning ways with headgear back on. Appreciates a stiff test (should get that here); needs considering with this mark still within his grasp.
Cost £20,000 after winning a maiden point-to-point but has yet to live up to that price tag having been pulled-up in two of his three novice chases. Given a wind op prior to his first try in handicaps over fences; mark still looks harsh.

Not many of these can be ruled out with the majority looking as though they will be suited by this test of stamina. Buddha Scheme returned from a break last time on the back of a wind op to record his first win and now steps into handicap company for the first time although it won’t be a surprise to see Cairnshill (considerately handled last time) reverse the Hexham form. Hexham is a track well known to the likes of Total Assets and course specialist Classical Milano both of whom should appreciate this test although the former may need this outing. The ease in grade could well help DONNA’S DELIGHT get off the mark over fences he’s won when fresh before and shown form around this venue.
