Respectable 5L sixth on racecourse debut last month but offered very little when when beaten 16L over C&D last time. Winner was impressive that day but more will be required at this level.

By 2015 Derby winner Golden Horn. Fourth foal out of 7f-winning mare. Half-brother to the high-class Awtaad. Looks to be an exciting prospect but trip could be on the sharp side.

Half-Brother to three winners and kept on nicely on debut when staying-on fifth at Kempton (7f) earlier this month. Entitled to come on for the run but yard struggling with juveniles this term.

Lope De Vega colt who had a tough ask against odds-on shot on debut but enhanced reputation when beaten into 1L third (1m). Step down in trip should suit and dangerous to ignore.

Showed signs of major inexperience on debut so did well enough to finish 8L fourth at Newbury (7f). Will need to behave better but yard and jockey are in tremendous form.

Has a classy pedigree but showed no sort of class when beaten into 10th on debut at Kempton (7f) in August. Given time off since to mature and hood is a concern but yard are in flying form of present.

Came forward nicely enough from debut effort when 5L sixth over 7f at the July course in August. Not seen since and stamina was stretched last time. Best watched.

By up-and-coming sire Kingman out of a South African mare who struck in Listed company in Dubai. Progeny haven't been as good on the track but represents powerful connections. Respected.

Showed ability on debut before well-beaten behind Mum's Tipple but shaped better in easier company when third at Ascot (6f) last month. May need this trip now and has solid place claims.

Gleneagles colt. Fourth foal of unraced mare and is a half-brother to 1m winner Farandine. Pedigree isn't much to shout about but yard have been in terrific form this month.

Forecasts

King Leonidas (13/8), Evening Sun (4/1), Emaraty Hero (13/2), Mafia Power (7/1), Klopp of The Kop (8/1), Al Zaraqaan (14/1), Blue Skyline (16/1), Albert Edward (25/1), Huwaiteb (33/1), Lord Warburton (50/1), Jack Ryan (100/1)

13:55 Newmarket - 23 October 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

EMARATY HERO shaped with a lot of promise for a long time on his debut, with the petrol tank emptying in the dying stages behind a well-regarded horse. The drop back to a stiff 7f could be his optimum and there is every chance he will come on for that effort. Klopp of The Kop looks to be his nearest rival given his encouraging form recently and needs this step up in trip, while the likes of the regally bred Al Zaraqaan and Huwaiteb cannot be ignore - especially as the latter's trainer is operating at a 67% current strike rate.
  1. Emaraty Hero
  2. Klopp of The Kop
  3. Al Zaraqaan
