Sent off favourite on debut and ran with credit when 3L fifth of 18 behind Wichita but failed to build on that when disappointing at Dundalk since. Could be happier now back on turf but bit to prove after that.

Similar level of form in trio of maidens but took big step forward when 3L third in 1m Group 2 (good) at Leopardstown last time. That is the stand out piece of form on offer but soft ground to deal with today.

Ashtarak
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: O J Orr| T: D K Weld

Sixth foal who is related to Ashraf and Askerana who both won at this trip. Interesting newcomer for stable who have won this three times in last five years, twice with newcomers.

No promise when sent off at 66/1 on 7f Curragh debut last month and not hard to look elsewhere here.

Not knocked about when beating just one home in seven runner Killarney maiden in August. Entitled to improve but that form has taken several knocks since which raises a concern.

95,000 gns yearling. Half brother to Arnold Lane who at 7f and 1m winner Ainslie. Market may reveal more for racecourse debut.

Second foal of dam who won over 1m on debut. Interesting newcomer for top yard who introduced a winning debutant last week and market may give clues.

16/1 and never recovered from slow start when beating just one home at Dundalk last week and needs to make huge improvement in short space of time.

Backed at long odds on 1m good ground Curragh debut in August and showed lots of ability when staying on into 9L fourth of 12. The first two home have shown themselves to be group performers so form looks solid and commands respect.

12/1 shot when ninth, 4L behind King Of The Throne on August debut. Entitled to improve and one of three runners here for top stable.

Stable not associated with juvenile winners but this gelding ran well for a 66/1 shot on similar ground when 9l sixth of 19 on recent debut and if improving for that could play a part here.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: P B Beggy| T: A P O'Brien

Not knocked when down the field in 6f Navan debut in June. Should come on for that and interesting to see how he compares in market with the other O'Brien runners.

Highly promising debut in big field when third, 1L ahead of Aesop. Disappointing on subsequent run but may have found the heavy ground too much and could be capable of bouncing back if soft ground is ok.

Forecasts

Agitare (7/4), Nobel Prize (11/4), Frank Arthur (7/1), King Of The Throne (9/1), Springbank (10/1), Ashtarak (14/1), San Pedro (20/1), Aesop (20/1), Celtic High King (25/1), Royal Casamento (25/1), Galileo Chrome (33/1), Jan Wellens (33/1), Ballydooley (80/1)

13:55 Leopardstown - 19 October 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

AGITARE earned himself an official rating of 100 when taking a big step forward in a Group 2 last month and if able to cope with the soft ground today can get off the mark. King Of The Throne shaped with plenty of promise when nibbled at in the market on debut and can provide the main danger though with the excellent record of Dermot Weld in the race newcomer Ashtarak has to be of interest.
