Mixed messages in a number of starts last term but did run with credit on his final start of the season in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham in March. Yard have a good record at the track in October since 2015 with a 31% strike rate.

Wetherby regular who enjoyed his day in the spotlight there over Christmas when gamely landing the Castleford Chase by a nose from Marracudja. Continued to run well before a fall at Aintree in April. Enters calculations.

Solid and consistent sort winning two of his last three starts over the larger obstacles. Needs to step up on effort at Newcastle when last seen in March but not to be taken lightly in this company.

Has failed to build on a win over the larger obstacles in a Sandown heavy ground handicap chase over a similar trip in January last year, beaten in five chase starts since. Needs to bounce back in a big way to have a say here.

Recorded a hat-trick of point-to-point wins in 2016 and landed a hunter chase for previous yard when trained in Ireland. Thriving for current stable last term and may be capable of better still.

£150,000 purchase after winning sole point-to-point start in February 2017. Went on to win over hurdles but has failed to build on a couple of pleasing initial starts over fences when being well held in two starts towards the end of last season.

Landed a double over the larger obstacles in February with victories at Fakenham and Ludlow. Beaten when last seen in March and more needed in this company.

Solid operator, off the mark for current connections on stable debut at Hexham last December. Held his form well since, right up to finishing second of six at Ayr when last seen in April. Worth a market check stepping up in trip.

Improving 130-rated handicap hurdler is a four-race maiden over fences, failing to complete on his last two starts both at Haydock in December and February. Entitled to need the run on return to action.

Forecasts

Crievehill (9/4), Sky Pirate (9/4), Kayf Blanco (8/1), Chef D'Equipe (8/1), Cracking Find (11/1), Slanelough (14/1), Ascot De Bruyere (16/1), Dimple (18/1), Niven (25/1)

16:00 Wetherby - 16 October 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The Nigel Twiston-Davies trained CRIEVEHILL can add to the yards impressive figures at this venue in October since 2015. The Arcadio gelding can bounce back to form on return to action following a solid enough effort in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham festival in March, finishing fourth of the 23 runners. If recovering from the mental scars of a heavy first fence fall in the Grade 3 Red Rum Chase at Aintree in April, course winner, Cracking Find can give the selection the most to think about on return to action. The James Ewart-trained Ascot De Bruyere and last seasons fast improving Dimple can compete for remaining prize money.
