Much more like it latest in his third chase start when second of 11 at Roscommon where he was beaten just a head over 2m5f. That form solid and jockey booking a huge plus in such contests but trips of 3m plus so far been problematic.

2m6½f winner here last season in largely consistent campaign. Fourth at Galway latest encouraging for the season ahead and surprise if he doesn't improve that finishing position here.

Still just the one chase win to his name and to unimpressive efforts in sixths at Kilbeggan and Listowel to kick off this campaign suggest that others offer better options.

Landed handicap chase hat-trick last summer but has looked a shadow of himself in three starts of late since returning from a more than nine-month break. Hard to enthuse over on current evidence.

Tramore novice winner in May proved uncompetitive in a series of handicaps since both over fences and hurdles and has to be a risky proposition again today.

Second at Kilbeggan in August looked a breakthrough for this former point winning rules maiden but he flopped unceremoniously at the same track latest when pulled-up as favourite. Could bounce back here.

Lightly raced veteran an 8l winner over 3m½f at Roscommon before running a respectable third of 14 latest at Tramore (2m5f) off revised mark. In good form coming in and should go well again.

Twice a winner over hurdles this summer but won over fences in the past and indeed his second at Sligo last month back over the larger obstacles showed him every bit as effective over fences. First time over 3m but should stay; wouldn't want rain.

Five-race maiden over fences, the daughter of Kalanisi needs to rediscover the form that saw her finish second of eight at Thurles in March. Plenty to prove and unseated at the first latest.

Over two years since this inconsistent sort last won and Sligo fourth penultimately another false dawn as he was well held at Tipperary nine days ago.

Winner of a point-to-point in June before a couple of heavy defeats over the larger obstacles in July. Similarly uninspiring effort over hurdles latest suggests her one to avoid.

A few of these must prove their capabilities for the trip but in what is likely going to be run in a style akin to a hunter chase stamina may not catch them out and Jamie Codd's mount COURT TYCOON; a useful hurdler who went well over fences latest gets the vote. Fellow unproven stayer Allduckornodinner is also in decent nick and respected but any stamina deficiencies will be found out by October Revolution.
