Gutaifan colt. Out of a Cockney Rebel mare who was unraced on the track. Half-Brother to two-time winner Rumshak (5f). Yard currently in good form and merits a betting check.

Bated Breath colt who struggled on debut when 29L 12th behind impressive winner at Newmarket (7f) earlier this month. That run may be too bad to be true and worth another chance.

Only beaten 2L on debut last month and arguably bettered that when second over C&D in late September. Winner of that race has subsequently finished third in a Listed race so sets the form standard.

Cable Bay colt. Dam hails from a Royal Applause family but hasn't produced any winners on the track to date. Yard rarely has first time out or juvenile winners so is opposable.

By useful 7f performer Fulbright. Dam was a one-time winner (6f) on the track but has produced two winners in Secret Sharp (1m) and Henke (6f). Yard in modest form so worth a check on debut.

Cry Havoc
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: Rob Hornby| T: Rae Guest

War Command filly. Dam was a 7f winner on the flat and wasn't disgraced in pattern company. Half-sister to three-time scorer Charming Guest and 6f winner Mad Rose. Interesting enough pedigree. Considered.

By Aussie sprinter Brazen Beau. First progeny of a dam who landed two minor honour contests on the AW during her career. Notable if there is market support.

By 2012 July Cup winner Mayson and is the first progeny of an unraced mare who is closely related to Royal Applause. Not much to shout about on pedigree and looks the stable's second string.

Likeable pedigree and showed significant promise on debut when staying second over C&D despite edging left at the start. Likely to be more streetwise for this and holds obvious claims.

Horse silk

Encouraging fourth at Newbury on debut but raced to keenly when eighth of 15 at that track (6f) last month. Bounce back required and the hood is applied for this.

Strongly fancied when sent off odds-on for racecourse debut but bombed out when seventh of nine at Nottingham (5f) in May. Not seen since and looks to be second string for trainer.

17:10 Kempton - 16 October 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

An intriguing juvenile contest. Preference is for the improving QASBAZ, who ran on nicely without challenging the winner over C&D. The victor has since gone on to finished third in the Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy and there is every chance there is more improvement to come. Pepper Bay looks likely to be the main danger judging her good C&D second on debut, while Captivated offered no hope on debut but cannot be ignored for the powerful John Gosden's yard.
  1. Qasbaz
  2. Pepper Bay
  3. Captivated
