Won a maiden hurdle at Naas in February despite jumping badly before not being disgraced when upped in class at same track in March; unseated rider early on in chase debut at Gowran Park earlier this month; deserves another chance.

Had been improving over hurdles all summer culminating in a decent win in a maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan in August; interesting contender on chase debut.

Eclair De Beaufeu191
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| D
7/2
Rated 135 over hurdles and ran some fine races last season before unseating his rider and Cheltenham; certainly looks to one to be on if translating that form to fences.

Ingleby Mackenziet18
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Phillip Enright| T: E Doyle| D
25/1
Was in fair form on the Flat and over hurdles throughout the summer; last seen out running a solid race on the AW at Dundalk; hard to assess on chase debut but certainly a genuine type of horse.

Rated 135 over hurdles and was most consistent throughout last winter and early spring; no reason why he can't transfer his ability over fences and very much one to consider.

Dual hurdles winner but two below average outings over fences does not inspire much confidence here; open to improvement but hard to see him getting competitive.

Pulled up on chase debut at Worcester in September; never won in 16 attempts over hurdles; can't be taken too seriously.

100/1
Inconsistent gelding who failed miserably for new connections on his penultimate start at Navan before falling last time out at Tipperary.

De Bennette126
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-5| J: T Ryan(7)| T: J Grace
100/1
Inconsistent hurdler; put in one of her better effort last time out at Roscommon but that came back in June and difficult seeing him make her mark on chase debut.

Has won two of his eleven starts over hurdles and if he manages to translate his consistency over fences then he looks like one to consider for a place at the very least.

NOTEBOOK and Eclair De Beaufeu are closely matched on hurdles form and it will be a fascinating battle between the pair if they both take to the larger obstacles. Slight preference is for the former given he finished the season better than the latter but it is is very difficult to choose between them which may be reflected in the market. Brog Ahaon looked a hurdler on the upgrade so it is interesting seeing him having a try over fences while the youngster Quantatmental is also worthy of closer inspection for place purposes.
