Age: 6|  Weight: 9-10| J: Gabriele Malune(3)| T: M Botti| OR:  80| C
8/1
Course winner (1m2f), starts life with a former trainer after being well below-par from his previous yard in all starts this year. Blinkers tried when last seen now removed; plenty to prove despite being well weighted on old form.

Made a winning debut for this yard at Redcar off a 4lb lower mark further enhancing the record of the yard with this type. Not matched the level of his win as yet (does have excuses); unsuited by Newmarket last time; player if taking to Polytrack.

Running well this year (best performances on undulating tracks), win at Epsom showing him at his best over 1m4f off 2lb lower. Blinkers now reached for possibly to counteract his slow starts; 0-2 on the AW so far.

Course winner over 1m (4-12 on AW) who ran poorly last time when back in handicap at Chester (1m2f, good). Resides on his last winning mark but would need to come here in better shape to be of interest.

Two wins to his name this year with the latest coming on the AW (Polytrack) over 1m6f (showed a good turn of foot). Too free to do himself justice last time back at the scene of his latest win (off 3lb higher); down in trip, needs to settle better.

Dual course winner including over this trip but hasn't really fired for this yard returned to the Flat after trying hurdling. Had shaped as if retaining some ability in this sphere before being well beaten last time; blinkers now return.

Lightly-raced, fair handicapper who is already with his third yard; didn't shape badly on his first effort for these connections at Pontefract last time out (1m2f). Should strip fitter for that run, gone reasonably well on synthetics before; chance.

Dual winner earlier in the year for his former yard, he's very much gone the wrong way since joining this stable. Not totally disgraced in first-time blinkers last time (retained here), not one to really warm to in his current guise.

Yet to really fire this year including when tried in various headgear over trips at up to 2m (only run without headgear). Well below form at Brighton last time; remains 6lb above this last winning mark; hard to make a cogent case for.

Took back-to-back French turf claimers over 1m2f before coming to GB and running some respectable races in AW/turf handicaps at up 1m4f. Looks capable of again running another sound race despite the handicapper looking in control off this mark.

Three wins so far this year (all under amateur rider) although he did find his good run of form coming to an abrupt half last time at York. Now takes his first steps onto the Polytrack from a wide draw; something to prove in this scenario.

Geranium18
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-4| J: David Probert| T: H Morrison| OR:  74| BF| C
6/1
Course winner (1m); has been in excellent form on turf of late (last four runs 1122) showing her best form over 1m2f. Sound run last time despite not looking suited by trip (1m1f); on a career-high mark and looks vulnerable to anything progressive.

In excellent form in the first part of the season recording three turf wins at up to 1m4f; appears to have been found out since in three runs by career-high marks. Badly off the boil last time at Brighton, others present more persuasive cases.

Course winner over a furlong further in March he progressed again afterwards to win Wolverhampton handicap (subsequently demoted). Form since has been a rather mixed bag (all on turf); disappointed badly when last seen, returns from a break.

18:10 Kempton - 9 October 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A fair sized field although there aren’t that many that bring solid/progressive form into the race although this track (without any undulations) will suit Regal Director well after he looked all at seas at Newmarket last time; this track and trip should suit well and he’s firmly on the shortlist. A chance is taken with SHEBERGHAN who created a good impression at Pontefract last time on his first start for five months having previously run well on the AW especially as he runs off a career-low mark. Others who should be respected are Geranium and Grey D’Ars although neither looks particularly well treated they are both running soundly.

  2. Regal Director
  3. Geranium
