C&D winner who has made the frame on several occasions this year but the fact remains his losing run continues to extend. Way below his last winning mark but yet to show he's reliable enough to support despite the in the falling mark.
Responded well to an inexperienced rider when scoring for the first time at Sandown in July (1m, good) when suited by the run of the race (does have his quirks). Shaped well again when last seen in softer conditions at Salisbury; shortlisted.
Unreliable sort who hasn't been on a going day for his last two starts finishing well held at Leicester (5f) last time; adding to his growing losing streak. Back up to 6f but hard to build a case against such an unreliable background.
Showed her best form this year at Yarmouth in August, did well to hang onto second having been up with the pace all the way. It is 13 starts since her last win though and she arrives on the back of a poor effort having never won a handicap.
Took advantage of a much-reduced mark plus a fully-fledged rider when winning at Chepstow (6f, good/firm). Not disgraced since off this mark despite looking rather stretched by the 7f trip last time (shaped well); merits respect back over 6f.
Capitalised on a drop in grade when scoring on Fibresand (1m) on her last start for her previous yard. Hasn't really shown any spark in three starts for this yard over a variety of trips, back down in trip, hard to make a cogent case.
Inconsistent performer who ran poorly after 12 weeks off last time when well beaten at Bath off this same mark. Made the most of a tumbling mark to win at Brighton (6f, good) earlier in the year, shown nothing like the same form since.
Below-par since winning in relatively testing conditions at Chepstow (5f) in June making the most of the conditions/falling mark. Encounters similar conditions here with one of the more experienced (in the context of the race) booked; interesting.
Having hardly beaten a rival all year she returned to some sort of form from out of the blue on the AW (Lingfield, 6f) last time. At home in this class she looks nicely weighted (last win off 3lb higher) if she can build on her last start.
Like one or two in this race she has a long losing run to cope with which makes her an unattractive proposition for win purposes. Did look as though she was finding some form but has failed to build on earlier promise in her last two starts.
Went with little promise last time out under today's rider and it's hard to present a sound case on the majority of his previous form. 3lb out of the handicap, he looks on a dangerous mark if he were to come back to form; others more persuasive.
Modest handicapper who has yet to fire this season and faces a stiff task from 5lb out of the handicap. Losing run continues to mount and almost certain to find one or two that are better treated for now.

As with all amateur riders’ races there is a wide-display of relative experience on display with the booking of Eireann Cagney catching the eye, the rider seen to good effect at Ascot on Friday recording his third win. His fourth could well come his way here on SOVEREIGN STATE who may well come back to life under conditions he will be suited to. Stay Forever has to be respected having already shown that she’s goes well for an inexperienced rider although the trip may be on the sharp side. Secondo has to be respected having remained in good form since winning at Chepstow whilst Mercers is on a dangerous mark if she can build on her last time out run at Lingfield.
