Won his first two starts for current yard after landing a Windsor seller for Richard Hannon in July. Form has tapered off since, however, and while he's back on a fair mark, he's probably best on quicker ground in any case.
Won on soft turf at Pontefract, and good/firm at Ayr (5f) in June, but come close to that form only once in four starts since. Yard won this race last year, but this gelding has a little bit to prove on recent evidence.
Won on soft ground at Thirsk in August, but below form on heavy either side of that effort. Took a step back in the right direction when 7L second to Prestbury Park at Pontefract last time, but needs to do more here.
Yard won this last year, and this gelding was an excellent second at the Curragh in June. Best effort since when third of 18 to Dark Shadow at Doncaster last time, and would have gone close with a clear run. Big chance if repeating that.
Progressing well dropped to 5f of late, winning on easy ground at Chester and Hamilton on last two starts. Sire a Group 1 winner on heavy, and she will go very close if taking after him.
His sole success came at Cork (7f) in May 2018 in what was just his second start. Disappointing for Dermot Weld subsequently, and not done enough in two starts for new yard to make him of serious interest. Drops markedly in trip now.
Won four handicaps between July 2017 and April 2018, and while he's lost all 21 since despite making the frame on numerous occasions, he's not had many chances on very soft ground, and two of his wins have come under such conditions. Can go close.
SHEEPSCAR LAD is on a losing run, but has been given a chance by the handicapper, and has a rare chance to run on the testing ground on which he won twice in 2017. He's just preferred to the progressive 3-y-o Fairy Stories and unlucky Doncaster third Manshood.
