Best recent form on a sound surface, and below form on good/soft at Hamilton last time, but he has won on soft ground before, and not a big surprise if he returned to form given his profile.

Runner-up twice in heavy ground over 1m in August, and although below that form last time, he will appreciate the return to testing ground, and is handicapped to play a big part, assuming he stays this longer trip.

Won a 1m novice on debut, but showed better form when 2¼L third of 8 to Noble Prospector on handicap debut at Chester (1¼m) last time. Lightly raced and unexposed at this trip, so should progress further, and respected.

Impressed when winning by 3L in a 1¼m handicap at Doncaster (soft) in August, and although he's not repeated that, he shaped well when third at Redcar last time, and will appreciate the return to softer ground.

Twice third at Beverley in July, but while he wasn't discredited in form terms at Doncaster (1m2½f, soft) on his penultimate start, he ran poorly on heavy ground at Ayr last time, and that is a concern with similar conditions forecast.

Winner on good/firm in May, but best efforts this year, when third at Ripon and Pontefract at around this trip, have come on soft ground. Perhaps best to overlook a moderate effort at latter track more recently. Comes into the equation.

Would be of interest on form he showed when winning a 1¼m maiden at Sandown last June for John Gosden, but has gone with little promise for new connections. Has quickly fallen to a tempting mark, but needs to show more spark before he's of interest.

Handles the mud, and won at Beverley (1¼m) in June. Ran well next time, but form has slipped in recent starts, and he remains 4lb above his last winning mark.

Landed a 1m novice at Windsor in June, but has failed to take off as expected in handicaps, and just a fair fourth of 9 to The Corporal at Yarmouth (1¼m) last time. Bit to prove in first-time cheekpieces, including ability to cope with the ground.

Best recent effort when third at Haydock in July, but that needs improving on if he's to win here, and he has disappointed twice since. Must do better for the fitting of a first-time tongue tie.

Has been well below form on recent starts, and losing run now stretches to 19 races. Very well handicapped if he can stop the rot, and a few from the yard have bounced back of late, but he's a risky proposition.

Runner-up in a heavy-ground maiden over 1m½f at Nottingham in August, and ran well when third on first try at this trip at Chelmsford last time. Has scope for further progress, and shortlisted accordingly.

Formerly trained in France where he at least won a maiden. Has struggled in all his efforts in Britain, and no sign of a revival of late despite his tumbling mark.

OLYMPIC CONQUEROR looks the way to go here. The 3-y-o was runner-up on heavy ground at Nottingham, and proved his stamina for this trip with a good third at Chelmsford last time. He can improve again, and is preferred to Al Erayg and Delph Crescent. The first-named of that pair will be a big threat if he can prove his stamina having already shown himself best in the mud.
