Has an appealing pedigree (from a good French jumps family); plenty to admire about his debut bumper win at Hereford late last year (travelled well). Below-par under a penalty when last seen; respected now that he goes hurdling off a break.
Yard in good form at the moment especially with horses off a break. Bred more for stamina than speed but made an encouraging start to his career in a junior bumper late last year at Wetherby. Interesting if the market speaks positively for him.

Half-brother to three winners but showed little in point-to-points and didn't show any upturn in his performance when a 100-1 shot over hurdles on debut over C&D. Had a wind operation since that outing; would need to make major progress.

One of two that this leading yard run in this so he has to be respected on his debut despite being pulled up on his only Irish point-to-point start. Closely related to fair chaser Thegreendalerocket; worthy of a market check given connections.

Gelded and given a wind op since he was last seen having so far been disappointing in two starts in a bumper and finishing last in a novice hurdle. Pulled too hard last time (needs to settle better); hard to recommend on what he's shown so far.

Interesting newcomer having won by 6L on his sole point-to-point start at Larkhill. Related to some decent jumpers, including fairly useful hurdler Mormon; trainer has a good record with this sort, likely to be of interest, well worth a market check.

Well held on his only start in bumpers there's been no progression since he's turned to hurdling with all four starts being poor at best. Brother to a useful hurdler/chaser Claret Cloak; may do better in low-grade handicaps.

Forecasts

Tea Clipper (11/8), Arrivederci (13/8), Golden Taipan (15/8), Chance A Tune (4/1), Milan's Society (14/1), Shelfield (40/1), Vinnie Rouge (100/1), Clondaw Sam (100/1)

14:00 Warwick - 3 October 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Even with the assumed absence of Golden Taipan who was a 2L winner at Huntingdon yesterday afternoon this is an interesting contest. Arrivederci shaped with plenty of promise in bumpers last season despite a defeat on his second start his pedigree for jumping makes him of interest now that he tackles hurdles for the first time. Chance A Tune is another hurdling newcomer of note although the suspicion is that he’ll need a stiffer test of stamina than this 2m will provide. Milan’s Society given his connections ought to be better than he’s shown so far but it’s Larkhill point-to-point winner TEA CLIPPER who makes the most appeal on his first try over hurdles.
  1. Tea Clipper
  2. Arrivederci
  3. Chance A Tune
