Seven-race maiden, well held on four starts over hurdles and in three dismal efforts on the Flat. Difficult to see where encouragement is coming from.

Daughter of Elzaam out of a Montjeu mare. Cost €3,000 as a yearling. Dam maiden half-sister to National Anthem, winner between 1m and 1¼m. Market likely to reveal expectations on debut.

7/1
Has endured an unsettling season but may have claims based on the Daughter of New Approach fourth of 15 behind Getaway Katie Mai and Sheranda on soft ground at Listowel earlier this month.

Horse silk
33/1
Daughter of Rip Van Winkle out of an Oasis Dream mare. Half-sister to Chipping, a winner as a juvenile over 6f and the tough and genuine, Geological. Market likely to be the best guide on debut.

Horse silk

Never landed a blow on debut when eighth on debut at Gowran Park over 7f on good ground in June. Needs to do a lot more off the back of that effort but current form of stable does offer some encouragement.

Horse silk
100/1
Two-race maiden. Well adrift of a couple of these rivals in a 1m Listowel maiden earlier this month. Others look more convincing at this level.

Horse silk

Daughter of Mastercraftsman out of a Galileo mare. Half-sister to 1m2f winner, Hunting Horn. Fifth of seven beaten 11L behind the Aidan O'Brien-trained The Tooth Fairy at Galway earlier this month on debut over 1m4f. More needed.

Well held and never nearer on return to action on seasonal debut in a Cork maiden on good ground over 1m½f. First time hood unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Bounced into form when running Romantic Proposal to 1¼L in a Cork 7f maiden at the beginning of the month. Requires plenty of respect in this company.

Well-related War Front filly who was 3/1f on debut in April at Leopardstown with Ryan Moore on but didn't feature in the finish. Slight improvement the following month at Naas. Obviously open to improvement and one to note.

15/8
Mastercraftsman filly who is a half-sister to Plus Night who was successful over 5f and Pass The Trophy who won up to 1m1f. Pleasing second of 11 beaten 1¼L in a Gowran Park 1m1½f maiden earlier this month on yielding ground. Leading player.

Poet's Voice filly. Half-sister to a two-year-old winner. Dam is a half-sister to smart French Oaks winner Star Of Seville. Unfortunate debut when rearing up on leaving the stalls and unseating luckless rider when last seen in July.

Dream Ahead filly. Took the eye when runner-up in 7f contest at Tipperary on debut in June but has disappointed since in a couple of starts in the last month. Needs to bounce back in a big way to have a say.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Chris Hayes| T: D K Weld| BF
2/1
Half-sister to Group 2 winner, Shamreen and Shahroze successful at Group 3 level in Canada. Given an easy introductory run at Cork at the start of the month before impressive second of 15 beaten 2L on soft ground earlier this month at Listowel.

Horse silk
25/1
Daughter of Casamento out of a USA bred mare. Related to some fair sprinters/milers. Trainer can ready a horse on the Flat so a check in the market is advised.

Horse silk
50/1
Fast Company filly out of a Montjeu mare. Closely related to 17-race maiden on the Flat Lady Marmello. Dam winner of one of her 30 starts on turf. Yards newcomers often come on for debut run.

16:55 Curragh - 28 September 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Given the form of the Dermot Weld three-year-olds this term is hard to ignore the chances of the filly, SHERANDA. The daughter of Siyouni can improve in these conditions from a promising second of 15 beaten 2L at Listowel earlier this month. Miss Clash for the Emmet Mullins stable looks the biggest danger on the balance of her pleasing debut run at Gowran Park earlier this month while, Cork runner-up, Lovee Dovee and the Aidan O'Brien-trained, Magic Fountain can compete for the minor honours.
  1. Sheranda
  2. Miss Clash
  3. Magic Fountain
