Dual C&D winner (including this race last year) successful at Thirsk last week when landing a 15-runner 7f handicap by ½L. 4lb penalty makes the task tougher but his and his stable's form means that a follow up is a very real possibility.

Confirmed the promise of a Carlisle second in May when winning next timeover an extended 1m here. More bad than good since but fourth at Chester latest suggested him on the comeback trail and return to this track is a bonus.

Much improved form when landing a couple of C&D handicaps in May/June. Bit disappointing last twice and possible that the handicapper is in charge now although return here may prove that wrong.

Five-time winner for Richard Fahey proved more difficult to win with latterly and ran pretty abysmally on debut for this yard at Redcar. Best avoided at present.

Maiden on the turf (won twice on AW) been pretty consistent this summer on turf for Richard Fahey without winning. Competitive handicap mark for new yard but suspicion that this trip may be just beyond him stamina-wise.

Deservedly got back to winning ways in 16-runner legends race at Doncaster latest under Sammy Jo Bell. Upped 3lb here but jockey's claim offsets that and this ultra-consistent sort looks sure to make his usual bold bid.

Won two C&D handicaps and a Catterick claimer in a fine summer campaign. Fourth the last twice suggests handicapper currently on top but progressive nature means that may not last.

Took advantage of drop in the weights to land 7f Redcar handicap penultimately but was well held more recently at Doncaster off revised mark and against some pretty well handicapped looking rivals he may be exposed.

Nine-time winner is on a 10-race losing run but wasn't beaten far by Twin Appeal at Thirsk latest when third. 7lb better off so has very real chance to turn the tables although isn't always the sort to back up his best efforts.

Former Richard Hannon inmate remains a maiden and two starts since joining this yard suggest that handicap will have to slide further to see him effective.

Inconsistent sort won at Ayr in July but bombed out there just last week when last of 14. Best form would give him a shout but hard to bounce back from that last race just five days on.

Last year's winner TWIN APPEAL is a credit to connections and having impressed again at Thirsk latest in a similar contest he looks sure to make a bold bid at a track he clearly enjoys. There are however dangers aplenty with Dubai Acclaim who won the competitive looking legends race at Doncaster last time out and progressive three-year-old Ollivander chief among them for very prolific yards.
