Overcame inexperience to win on his debut at Ascot, 7f (form not yet really tested; favourite disappointed). Visually looks a good prospect despite by winning under 1L; penalised, from a yard in cracking form (26% strike-rate with 2yo's); improver.

Hinted at ability on his debut at Chepstow when finishing midfield over 7f, although he encounters quicker conditions here. Better than he could show on that start (stumbled at halfway); in a better race now though, one of the races lesser lights.

Newcomer; half-brother to 7f AW winner Flarepath, dam 1m4f winner. Yard progressing steadily with their 2yo's this year (have had two debutante winners); should know his job but likely to be better for the experience.

Just the one run so far at Newmarket where he shaped well over 5f in April. Not seen since then he looked the sort to progress having made late headway to finish midfield. Interesting to see what the market makes of him on return up in trip.

Makes his debut having already had some wind surgery for a yard that are yet to have a juvenile winner this season (0-20). Half-brother to three winners including 1m2f winner for this yard Bayston Hill; may well need this first outing.

Sales price rose consistently until reaching €80,000 as a Breeze-Up purchase. By Siyouni; half-brother to useful winner up to 1m3f Art of Raw (2yo 1m2f winner); dam French 2yo winner. Newcomer, market best used to gauge initial expectations.

13:10 Newbury - 21 September 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Some interesting newcomers in this first division of the 7f novice, a race that John Gosden has fared well in before and his Cherokee Trail is bound to be popular again even under a penalty but he’ll need to be smart to defy that impost. The long absent Millionaire Waltz is the obvious danger stepping up 2f in trip having run to a decent level on his debut but that long break is worrying and he may just need this. Richard Hannon doesn’t have as many debutant winners as he used to but scored with one here yesterday and his TAHITIAN PRINCE could well be another to strike first-time up. Imrahor may well be the next best amongst the newcomers with a pedigree that takes the eye.
  1. Tahitian Prince
  2. Cherokee Trail
  3. Imrahor
