Found the step up to Group 3 company too much when making AW debut at Kempton (6f; standard to slow) last time out. Back in much calmer waters now as he steps up to 7f for the first time, and is the one to beat.

Didn't cause too much trouble when fifth at Ffos Las (7f; good) recently as he stepped up in trip. However, there was obvious progression showed from his debut effort when he finished last. Player if able to take another step forward.
55,000gns yearling by Leroidesanimeaux. Dam was a Group 3 winner as a two-year-old. Yard doesn't have a lot of debut winners, but interesting to see if market speaks in favour of this one.

Son of Holy Roman Emperor who represents connections that are not readily associated with winning newcomers. Cost £60,000 as a yearling. Full brother to 6f/7f winner. Unlikely to pose a serious threat first time out.

Siyouni colt. Made 55,000gns as a yearling. Yard/jockey combo going well, and top stable know how to ready a newcomer. Could well be good enough to have a say on debut in what is an open race.

13:40 Chelmsford City - 21 September 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

An opening novice contest in which LEXINGTON REBEL should be able to take advantage of the marked drop in grade after finding the Group 3 Sirenia Stakes at Kempton too hot to handle when last seen. He had broke his maiden status at the second attempt before that, and the step up to 7f should unlock more improvement from the son of Dabirsim. If he fails to deliver, then Seasony could be good enough to take advantage on debut for the Mark Johnston stable who need no introduction when it comes to two-year-old runners. Abadie must also enter calculations if showing a similar chunk of improvement as he did when just missing out on the frame last time out at Ffos Las.
  1. Lexington Rebel
  2. Seasony
  3. Abadie
