Had a bit in hand when making a winning debut at Kempton, but the runner-up did little to enhance the form in midweek. Stable have a 30% strike rate with their turf juveniles this term.

Golden Horn foal out of the Italian Listed (7½f-1m) winner Mia Diletta; half-brother to the Italian 2000 Guineas winner Poeta Diletto; highly impressive on debut and entries in the Vertem Futurity and Derby do not look fanciful.

Impressive winner here on debut and was expected to follow up at Salisbury. Ruined his chance that day by hanging over to the stands side and likely he will deliver more on this flatter track.
Siyouni colt out of a middle-distance winning dam who is a half-sister to Derby and Arc winner Sinndar. Highly tried on debut and holds no high profile future entries.

Fair efforts on first two starts before finishing second in a conditions event at Deauville. No forlorn hope but others have stronger form and greater scope.

Bumped into a useful sort on debut before making hard work of landing a Ffos Las maiden (7.5f). Looked ready for a stiffer stamina test that day and in need of more experience. Hard to be certain he is equipped for a race of this stature at present.

Looked a sure fire future winner when chasing home It's Good To Laugh on his Ffos Las debut. Came home well under considerate handling having taken a keen hold, but is he ready for such a strong renewal of this contest?

Took the eye under a tender ride on debut before repaying the kindness at Ffos Las. This will be a lot tougher and he has the most to find in order to be competitive

Forecasts

Cape Palace (1/2), Man Of The Night (11/2), Acquitted (6/1), It's Good To Laugh (10/1), Tritonic (12/1), Raatea (16/1), Dyami (20/1), Sword Beach (25/1), Code Of Conduct (33/1)

15:25 Newbury - 20 September 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

It usually takes a Pattern class horse to win this and CAPE PALACE certainly looked the part when breezing past his rivals at Newcastle. The well-beaten fifth ran well at Doncaster last week, the time was respectable and he would not be the first top-class prospect for the stable to start his career on Tyneside. Man Of The Night has the best form coming into this and, if keeping a straighter course than last time, promises to be hard to beat. Acquitted looks vulnerable under his penalty given a midweek blow to the form of his victory, but there should be little between It's Good To Laugh and Raatea judged on their clash at Ffos Las, although both will need to take a big leap forward.
  1. Cape Palace
  2. Man Of The Night
  3. Raatea
