Demonstrated ample early speed when a comfortable 3¾L debut winner at Thirsk (5f, good to soft); far too keen when disappointing in a Listed contest at York subsequently; a first-time hood is applied in a bid to curb that enthusiasm.

Downed an 81-rated rival when striking on her second start (AW debut) at Chelmsford (5f) last month; appears just the type to continue progressing for the vastly experienced Newmarket trainer William Haggas; should go close.

Kyllachy filly (62,000gns yearling); took a small step forward on her second start at Thirsk (5f, soft) last month, finishing just under 4L fourth to Balancing Act; has since left David O'Meara to join Richard Fahey.

Brazen Beau gelding (£40,000 yearling); half-brother to two winners; 14-1 for debut at Ascot (6f, good to firm) 12 days ago, showing speed until the furlong pole - essentially a shade better than the bare finishing position (11th of 16) implies.

Brazen Beau gelding (5,000gns yearling); always on the back foot on debut at Catterick (5f, good to firm) a fortnight ago; needs to make an inordinate amount of improvement in order to threaten the principals here; unlikely.

Horse silk
66/1
70,000gns foal, value falling markedly to 7,000gns as a yearling; 25-1 and always in the rear on debut at Southwell (5f) three weeks ago; can't be considered as a realistic contender.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-11| J: G Lee| T: B Smart
8/1
£22,000 yearling; went close to winning at Catterick (5f, good) three weeks ago when run down late by the Kevin Ryan-trained Romantic Vision; isn't without a chance, albeit faces stern competition for the lead in a much deeper contest.

Horse silk
5/1
£60,000 yearling; first foal from an unraced dam who was a half-sister to the 1m 2yo Listed winner Nakheel; James Tate has his string in excellent form at present, and has an 18% strike-rate with his juveniles this year; of interest.

Horse silk
25/1
Starspangledbanner filly; first foal out of a moderate dam who was a sister to the Group-placed 1m2f-1m3f winner Indian Chief; the market can provide some potential clues, albeit others are expected to be stronger and wiser.

Forecasts

Reassure (11/4), Wonderwork (11/4), Magical Journey (5/1), Exclusively (6/1), Astrozone (8/1), Araifjan (10/1), Cupid's Beau (12/1), Only Alone (25/1), Triple Spear (66/1), Deevious Beau (66/1)

16:10 Beverley - 18 September 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A 'burn-up' is on the cards with Astrozone, Cupid's Beau and the evidently talented Wonderwork likely to set some searching early fractions. Exclusively is a consistent filly who isn't short of pace, yet could profit from such a scenario after a stamina building run in the mud at Carlisle (6f). At £60,000 as a yearling, Magical Journey is an interesting newcomer for the bang-in-form James Tate, although ideally she could've done with a kinder draw than stall 10. Therefore, with this in mind the advice is to stick with the recent Chelmsford winner REASSURE (stall 4). She rates as the type to progress swiftly for the vastly experienced William Haggas.
