Has run better in defeat since his maiden win at Haydock, albeit found out in useful company. Still, latest sixth in a competitive York nursery last month is good enough to put him in with a winning chance back in novice ranks.
Out of quite a useful sprinter for the owner, and likely to have benefited from debut run when seventh of 11 to Maystar over 5f at Southwell last month. Has plenty to find on form, though.
By Exceed And Excel out of a fairly-useful 1m/1m½f AW winner. Cost 80,000 gns as a yearling and yard has a better than 20% strike-rate with newcomers here in recent years, so merits inclusion.
Related to a couple of sprint winners, and ran well on debut despite not settling fully when 3¼L fourth of 9 to Huraiz in a 6f Newmarket novice first time up. Should do better, and worth considering.
Dam was a useful 2-y-o winner at 1m½f, and a daughter of multiple Group 1 winner Albanova. Likely to do better when stepped up in trip, but still needs a market check given excellent pedigree.
€215,000 Arqana Breeze-Up purchase. Travelled well for a long way when 4¼L third of 4 to Al Suhail over 7f here last month, and drop in trip should be no inconvenience on that evidence. Leading chance if improving as expected.
Free Eagle gelding out of a winning daughter of Lancashire Oaks winner Pongee. Will need a stiffer test in time, and yard appears to have stronger claims with One Night Stand.
Forecasts
Tiger Crusade (11/8), Buhturi (13/8), Aberffraw (6/1), One Night Stand (8/1), Theheartneverlies (16/1), Abbaleka (33/1), Uncle Sid (33/1), Dark Side Prince (100/1)
Buhturi has the edge on form, but TIGER CRUSADE shaped very well behind Solario Stakes third Al Suhail over 7f here on debut, and has the speed to do better at this trip. One Night Stand is best of the rest with experience, although Aberffraw and Theheartneverlies need a market check on debut.
