Has shown some encouraging signs in all four of his racecourse starts so far. He was second of nine on his opening handicap appearance last time at Beverley (7½f) after going off as the 2/1 favourite. One for the shortlist here.

Remains a maiden after five starts but he produced his best performance to date last time on his handicap debut where he was second of seven at Epsom (7f), beaten ¾L. Cheekpieces are on for the first time and he is up 3lb. Leading contender.

Still looking for his opening win following five runs but he has come close on a couple of occasions. He was sixth of seven last time at Hamilton over 6f. Has been eased 2lb and is going up in distance slightly. Has to bounce back.

Was successful on her second start when she came out on top at Newmarket (7f). Was unable to follow up last time at Hamilton (1m½f) as she was third of seven. Stepping back down in trip on her handicap debut. One to consider.

Is 0-4 so far in his career. Has been expensive to follow on his last two outings where he has gone off as favourite, including latest appearance at Newbury (6f) as he came home eighth of 10. Others are preferred.

Showed some promise on his debut at Beverley (5f) when he was second of nine. Has struggled in his three starts since then, including latest at Haydock (7f) where he was seventh of eight. Blinkers are on for the first time. Needs to improve.

Is having her seventh race here where she is bidding for her opening success. She was third of seven on her last appearance at Musselburgh (7f). Down 1lb for this latest attempt. Tongue-tie is on for the first time. Others make more of an appeal.

Forecasts

Lord Of The Alps (2/1), Oso Rapido (3/1), Ten Thousand Stars (4/1), Light The Fuse (11/2), Street Life (10/1), Rusalka (20/1), Don't Joke (28/1), Kilig (50/1)

LIGHT THE FUSE performed much better on his handicap debut last time where he was beaten by just ¾L. This trip looks to suit him well so expect him to improve again which should be enough for him to break his maiden in the contest. Lord Of The Alps was beaten by just one runner on his handicap debut and he may have to settle for the runner-up spot once again here, while Ten Thousand Stars is already a winner and is set for her opening handicap run where she is sure to be competitive.
  1. Light The Fuse
