Broke his maiden over hurdles last time at Downpatrick (2m3f) where he scored by 4L. Set for his first look at fences here where he has to be respected given he is from this leading yard. One to watch for now.

4/1
Experienced hurdler who has had four appearances over fences so far. He was second of seven on his latest chase outing at Killarney (2m7f) where he finished 6L off the winner. Taking a big step down in trip. Worth considering.

Was pulled up on both of his opening two chase starts but returned to fences last time at Listowel (2m6f) where he was just 1¾L off the winner when finishing fourth of nine. More can be expected here so he has each-way claims.

4/1
Has been a long way off the winner on his two chase appearances so far, although he was third of seven last time at Killarney (2m7f). Has won over hurdles and in a bumper so he is capable. Down in trip in this race. Not one to ignore.

40/1
Remains a maiden after 10 racecourse starts. He was sixth of 10 on his chase debut at Kilbeggan (2m4f) after going off at 20/1. Stepping down in trip on his latest appearance. Others make more of an appeal.

Lightly-raced gelding who has had just the four runs so far. He was third of 12 last time at Ballinrobe (2m1f) where he was only ¾L behind the winner. Set for his chase debut here so he is best to watch for now.

Has been successful twice over hurdles. She has not appeared since she finished third of 13 at Ballinrobe (1m5½f) in a Flat race in July 2017. Was very capable over hurdles but she may just need this run on her return.

Steer Clear272
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: J S McGarvey| T: P Roche
16/1
Has appeared on the track six times so far. He was disappointing on his two starts over fences at the back end of 2018, including at Naas (2m3f) where he finished 12th of 18. Needs to improve on what he has shown so far.

16/1
Experienced operator who is a three-time winner over hurdles but has yet to score in seven starts over fences. He was sixth of 11 on his latest attempt at Killarney (2m1f). Looks capable of hitting the frame at this level.

33/1
Has fallen in two of his chase starts, including on his latest attempt where he came down at the fourth fence from home after going off at 8/1. Needs to jump better if he is to be in contention at the finish on this step down in trip.

Won over hurdles at Limerick (3m½f) back in March. Has failed to follow that up though in two starts since then. Making his chase debut here where he is stepping down in distance. Others stand out more.

50/1
Remains a maiden after 20 starts. She was sixth of 12 last time at Sligo (2m5f) over hurdles. Set for her chase debut in this contest where she needs to improve a lot on what she has produced so far in her career.
14
Horse silk
9/2
A bumper winner in France who was in contention on his chase debut last time at Killarney (2m1f) before coming down at the second last fence. Should improve with that experience on his side. Leading contender.

FINE BRUNELLO was going well at the finish last time before coming down at the penultimate fence. Should be much better on his second chase appearance here so take the gelding to gain his opening success over fences. Lever Du Soleil is having his first taste of fences here and he looks like he can give a good account of himself as he has been running well recently over hurdles, while Fred The Foot should not be too far away if he transfers his hurdles form to fences.
  1. Fine Brunello
