Has won over C&D in the past, but this veteran has shown signs this year that he's a fading force, and while excuses can be made for recent defeats, he's not one to be interested in at this level.
Third in a 6f Listed race here in June, but below form on both subsequent starts, and while he's better than the bare resul of his latest seventh at Tipperary, he's flying a little too high here.
Just in front of Chessman at Tipperary last time, but that was his first run since the spring, so he should do better, and has place claims on the pick of his form from Dubai early in the year, and his fourth in this contest 12 months ago.
Big chance on form of his Duke of York Stakes win in May, and ran well for a long way in the Sprint Cup at Haydock last weekend. Speedy, and ought to benefit from drop to 5f now.
Only fourth to Soffia in the Sapphire Stakes over C&D on penultimate start, but stepped up on that when chasing home Battaash in the Nunthorpe at York last time. Respected if he's able to replicate that effort now.
Quite a smart juvenile, but looked fully mature last year, and hasn't developed any further this term. Tried in a visor before without any joy, and seems safe to exclude from calculations.
Stumbled badly in the King's Stand Stakes on British bow before joining current yard, and showed much more like her Australian form when second to Battaash in the King George Stakes at Goodwood. Not taken lightly now.
Smart sprint mare who defied a penalty to win the Palace House Stakes on return, and has run at least respectably in top 5f events since. Bit below her best when fourth in the Nunthorpe, but she should go very close on the balance of her form.
Won handicap on this card last year, and better than ever when landing the Sapphire Stakes by 3½L over C&D in July. Still seems to be progressing, and is the one they all have to beat on that showing.
Has been racing at the top level all season, and had excuses when well beaten in the Nunthorpe (hit her head on stall) last month. Lacked the pace to challenge in the Sprint Cup at Haydock last time, and probably needs more of a test than this.
Seemed to excel herself when edging out Mabs Cross for third in the Nunthorpe Stakes at York last month, but reverted to type when only ninth in the Sprint Cup at Haydock recently. Others look stronger again.

SOFFIA won on this card 12 months ago, and was hugely impressive when scoring a Group 2 win over C&D in July. This is a step up on paper, but she looks more than ready for it, and should be able to get the better of Mabs Cross and Houtzen, the former taken to reverse Nunthorpe form with the placed pair, and the latter having her expected retirement delayed to give her a chance of matching her Antipodean exploits.
