1m4½f Ballinrobe win was his first for this yard and second overall but he couldn't follow it up on tacky ground at Gowran (win came on good). Could bounce back if the ground dries out but no guarantees with weather forecast.

Only raced three times since win for Karl Burke in 2017 and two of those resulted in last place finishes including in this race a year ago. Slightly better latest but that back in March so easily opposed again.

Not win since his two-year-old days and series of poor runs in 2019 suggest him a regressive sort so best avoided again until we see some glimmer of hope.

Third to Formula One at Ballinrobe penultimately the best effort since leaving France where he was twice a winner. Finished ahead of that rival since at Gowran and looks a genuine contender here.

Come good at four with wins at Sligo (1m2½f, good) and Down Royal (1m4½f, soft) last time out. 2lb rise looks very lenient so he again rates a leading contender here.

Heavy ground second over 1m2f at Roscommon latest her best effort since landing back-to-back 1m3½f contests in the spring. Only 1lb higher than the more recent of them so ought to again make a bold bid here.

Won her maiden at Leopardstown a year ago in good style but well beaten in five starts this time around including sixth of seven at Sligo last time. Still looks too high in the handicap.

Lightly raced filly got off the mark when winning a 1m4f Tramore maiden last time out in battling fashion. Opening handicap mark not impossible by any means and likely more to come for top yard.

Won here on debut last September and although winless in six subsequent starts his fifths of 16 and 15 at Roscommon the last twice suggest handicap coming back in his favour and has to be respected back here for the first time since the win.

Handicap debutant made the frame in four of his six starts so opening mark looks pretty reasonable and the booking of Colin Keane is a clear signal of intent. Merits respect here.

Down Royal winner in July has struggled since at Galway and the Curragh. Handicapper now on his side but plenty of rivals bring more compelling cases.

Winless in nine on the Flat but since that last win he has marked himself out a smart hurdler in winning a Grade Three and finishing fourth in a Grade One. Surely improved since we last saw him in this code so potential to prove well-handicapped.

Second at Killarney (1m2½f) and Down Royal (1m3f) the last twice on soft ground suggest so-far elusive first success not far away for yard which won this race 12 months ago; leading player.

Dual-purpose mare who does have three wins to her name. Sixth over inadequate 1m1½f latest suggested something of a return to form and she will certainly be more at home over this distance.

Three-year-old SEVERUS ALEXANDER has hit the crossbar the last twice on soft ground but with similar conditions forecast Joseph O'Brien's charge can follow in the footsteps of Baby Pink who also carried a low weight to success in this as a three-year-old for the stable last year. Improving Maunganui is a threat seeking his third win of the season as is Flat maiden Way Back Home who has developed into a smart hurdler since we last saw him on the level.
