Placed in an Irish point-to-point but no progress in two bumper starts for this handler and beaten 9L in C&D novice 10 days ago on AW bow. Work to be done but improvement possible with yard flourishing.

Lawman colt, made pleasing start when third in Nottingham maiden (1m½f, heavy; 9-4) last month despite a slow break. Shaped as though extra yardage will be fine and can be a major player with improvement to come.

Never got competitive on debut in Windsor novice (1m2f, good; 100-1) in April and showed little promise; not hard to overlook on the bare form. Bred to cope with the AW though.

Hasn't proved the easiest ride in three novice starts (pulled up here on debut in June after running wide on bend). Cheekpieces tried now after couple of turf runs but opposable on form.

Intello gelding has changed hands for decent money, well beaten in two starts so far, most recently by 27L in 1m1½f maiden here nine days ago. Plenty to be worked on at this stage.

3½L fourth of eight in C&D novice in July the best of his efforts to date from seven runs, though well held in maiden handicap back here last month. Needs to take a step forward to have major say.

Born To Sea gelding whose dam won over this trip. Improved showing on second start when beaten 5¾L in C&D novice 10 days ago. Can get competitive with further improvement now.

Dunaden filly makes debut at three-years-old, representing the prolific Andrew Balding/Oisin Murphy partnership. Needs close scrutiny in the betting.

Champs Elysees half-sister to couple of useful winners, easily fended off in pair of turf runs over 1m/1m2f with 210 days splitting them. Again back from an absence for AW and probably best watched at this juncture.

Archipenko filly, beaten combined tally off 100+L in three novice contests on turf over this distance so far. Makes AW bow with expectations set low.

Forecasts

Court Order (4/6), Badessa (7/2), Wadacre Galoubet (13/2), Mrs Ivy (10/1), Star Talent (11/1), Zero To Hero (25/1), Gustave Aitch (40/1), Hurry Kane (50/1), Inteldream (66/1), Ozark (66/1)

20:30 Wolverhampton - 9 September 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

COURT ORDER's debut at Nottingham on heavy ground had plenty to admire in it, and the manner in which he came home suggested he should be just fine going up in trip now. If he improves for the run, this should be well within his compass. Wadacre Galoubet ran an improved race on second start here recently and comes into the reckoning while newcomer Badessa needs monitoring. Star Talent has prospects having run with credit over C&D previously.
  1. Court Order
  2. Wadacre Galoubet
  3. Star Talent
