In good form and dangerous if allowed an easy time of things on the front end; it's more than likely going to be up there with the early pace. He's won from a 2lb higher mark on the Fibresand but he does need to at least match his best on turf.

Won over C&D on her seasonal debut in May and bounced back from a string of below par efforts to land another success here last time out. The 6lb penalty makes life difficult but the filly loves this track and a place in the frame is not ruled out.

Has won over C&D but that was his only success from 27 previous starts; he's now on a career lowest mark but others can be considered more resilient and the gelding needs a lot to go his way. (Yard also runs Jeffrey Harris.)

Second behind Northern Society over C&D eight days ago and has a sound chance of reversing the from on these terms (previously ahead of that rival when they met here in August). She's still a maiden but has the ability to win if things fall right.

Best form in Ireland posted when attaching himself on to the back of a strong pace, so should have the race run to suit. His yard is going well just now and the gelding has won when returning from a break before. One for the shortlist.

1-23 on turf before now but has gone close over C&D several times so cannot be confidently ruled out. Her latest effort was a return to form but her lack of consistency is a worry. Has a bit to find with Thornaby Princess and Corton Lass too.

Best run for Richard Hannon when second in a seller at Leicester a year ago but shown little in a limited number of starts for her current yard. Was last behind Northern Society here in late August (after a long break) and faces another stiff test

Won this race in 2016 when with Colin Teague and finally added to her tally with another C&D win (her third in total) last month (had Corton Lass, Super Florence, and Jeffrey Harris all in behind). Lacks consistency and more on from 3lb higher.

Was back to something like her best last time but is closely matched with a number of these and generally has a bit to find on the balance of form. Being 0-20 on turf is an off-putting statistic.

0-15 on turf and shown very little in two starts since returning from a 179-day break from racing. Hard to recommend on that evidence and looks one to swerve from a betting perspective despite snippets of past form that give her a squeak.

Penultimate start was a reasonable effort but the gelding reverted to type at Ayr when last seen and he makes very limited appeal in his first appearance since last October.

Ran well above market expectations here last time out and noteworthy that Joe Fanning keeps faith with the bottom weight. However, the filly is still a maiden and needs to prove that wasn't just a one-off performance.

A number of these are old rivals and a lot depends on luck in running in a field of this size. One who should be suited by the way the race is likely to unfold is Irish raider BLASTOFMAGIC, who is best when coming from a strong pace and is better than he showed in his last couple of starts in his homeland. Amazing Alba has solid place claims on these terms and has a good chance of reversing the recent form with Northern Society on these terms. Archimedes has held his form well but will do well to make all now he has to shoulder top weight. Corton Lass gets on well with Joe Fanning and is another to consider.
