Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: S Donohoe| T: C Fellowes
10/1
Society Rock colt who was green on debut when a fair fourth to Expressionist over 5f here in May. Absent since which is a minor concern (withdrawn twice after declaration since), and market helpful in assessing his chance.

7/1
Cable Bay half-brother to 1m winner Venus Grace and useful 7f-1m½f winner George William out of a 1m winner. Eight of yard's 15 debutants here in the past five years have won or been placed, so this colt must be on the shortlist.

16/1
Cable Bay half-brother to several winners. Fared best of newcomers when under 1L fourth of 14 to Kendred Soul in a 5f maiden at Beverley last month, and ought to improve, for all this looks a deeper race.
Son of Power who improved on debut second when 1¾L second of 7 to Hamish Macbeth in a 6f novice at Salisbury last time, doing his best work late. Enters the reckoning on that form.

Brazen Beau half-brother to 5f winner Three Little Birds and useful 2-y-o 6f winner Lorton. Bred to make a sprinting juvenile, but yard not known for success with debutants (0-36 in recent seasons).

Gale Force Ten half-brother to two sprint winners, but cost just £800 as a yealing, and makes very limited appeal on this racecourse debut.

Best effort when dead-heating for second at Newbury in May, but demoted after hanging there, and again looked awkward under pressure last time, so perhaps not one to trust for all he's competitive on form.

Klopp of The Kop15
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-5| J: A Kirby| T: C G Cox
11/8
Showed ability when fourth on Newbury debut, and much improved when third to exciting Mums Tipple at York last time, staying on well from a poor position, This stiffer track will be in his favour, and he's considered.
Just modest form in two AW starts to date, although appears to be a work in progress, and was poorly placed given how the race unfolded at Southwell last time. Type to do better when handicapped.

Horse silk
28/1
Make Believe half-brother to useful 2-y-o 5f winners Prince of Lir and Nitro Boost. Appeals on pedigree, but yard's strike-rate with juveniles on debut is less than 5% in recent years (1-38 this term).

Horse silk
66/1
Zebedee half-brother to 2-y-o 7f winner Secret Love and 6f-7½f winner Illustrious Prince. Yard 0-36 with two-year-old debutants in last five years, and this colt is expected to need the experience.

12/1
Raven's Pass colt who was given a considerate introduction when 11L fifth of 9 to Military March in a 7f maiden at Newmarket in July. Plenty to find on form, but will improve, and drop in trip may help.

Horse silk
12/1
Iffraaj filly who shaped quite well when a keeping-on fifth after starting slowly in a fillies' novice auction at Goodwood less than a fortnight ago. Should improve, assuming this doesn't come too soon, but does need to.

Horse silk
25/1
Raven's Pass half-sister to smart 6f-1m1f winner Faulkner and 6f/1m winner This Girl. Yard's newcomers tend to need experience (no winners this season), but she's worth a market check for signs of confidence.

Horse silk
20/1
Kingman half-sister to useful 1¼m-1m5½f winner Key Bid and 6f-1m winner Strictly Silca from a precocious and useful family. Just one winning juvenile debutant for yard this year, but entitled to respect on pedigree.

Dark Angel half-sister to 7f AW winner Master Diver. Showed ability, but weakened late to finish last of 7 on recent debut at Salisbury. Will improve, but may need more time on that evidence.

13:55 Ascot - 6 September 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

KLOPP OF THE KOP gets a chance to test the form of Mums Tipple's impressive York win, and he seemed to do very well to finish third there having got outpaced. This stiffer track will suit, and he looks the best option in quite an open race. Cosmic Power looks the main threat on racecourse evidence, but newcomers Bengal Bay and Paycheck make plenty of appeal on paper, and need consideration, particularly the former.
