Horse silk
13/8
Returns to hurdling having taken well to chasing; built on a sound debut to win his last two starts over 2m (usually takes time to warm to his task). The impetus gained may see him improve back over hurdles (2-29); brush hurdles in his favour.

Go To Court17
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-10| J: Henry Brooke| T: Micky Hammond| OR:  98
9/1
Winning point-to-pointer who showed something to work on from her hurdling debut in April; had a wind op since then. Ran her best race last time over 2m here (unsuited by the drop in trip); extra 4f plus a step into handicaps, more expected.
3

Emily Webb13
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-5| J: Kielan Woods| T: A M Hales| OR:  94
20/1
Little solid form over hurdles including since being switched to handicaps for her last three tries over timber. Failed to show any improvement last time returning from a break; gets some further respite from the handicapper, may need more yet.
4

Whats Your Beef115
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: Benjamin Poste| T: T Symonds| OR:  91
11/1
Poor form over hurdles in Ireland but did look to be making some modest progress over fences. Makes stable/GB debut returned to hurdles; tongue-tie worn last-time left off; possible chance of stepping forward given new surroundings; note market move.
5

Grand Enterprisep,t17
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-11| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: H Hogarth| OR:  85
4/1
Going through a good spell currently (runner-up in three of his last four starts); back on track last time over 3m here. Likely to run a sound race but doesn't appear well handicapped, vulnerable to anything better treated.

Dubai Outlaw86
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-5| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: D J Jeffreys| OR:  79WS
9/1
Runs for a capable young trainer but yet to show any ability in two starts for the yard having shown little ability when trained in Ireland. Back up to 2m4f having had a wind op, that procedure would need to have significant impact.
7

Plenty Of Butty14
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-5| J: Brendan Powell| T: M Scudamore| OR:  79
12/1
Losing record continues to build over hurdles (0-7) with little sign of there being any light at the end of the tunnel. Dropped another 4lb from his last bleak effort over 2m4f at Worcester; hard to build a case for him.
8
Horse silk
Crakehall Ladb68
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-4| J: J Kington| T: A Crook| OR:  78
11/1
Almost took full advantage of a 5lb fall in the weights to a mark of 80 when second at Market Rasen in May (2m7f, good/firm). Followed that up with a below-par effort when last seen (jumped poorly); comes with risks attached.
9

Stripe Of Honour274
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-1| J: James Best| T: A Day| OR:  75
66/1
Looks of little account despite being related to winners including fairly useful hurdler/smart chaser Little Josh. Pulled up in soft ground over 3m when last seen; hard to see him achieving anything even at this lowly level.
10

Zambinot,v1131
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-0| J: Dave Crosse| T: M F Harris| OR:  75
28/1
Visor (first-time) now joins a tongue-tie (used before) but the form he's shown so far is poor at best. Only once started at a double-figure price and unlikely to do so here; not hard to rule out of calculations.

Forecasts

Double Court (13/8), Grand Enterprise (4/1), Go To Court (9/1), Dubai Outlaw (9/1), Crakehall Lad (11/1), Whats Your Beef (11/1), Plenty Of Butty (12/1), Emily Webb (20/1), Zambino (28/1), Stripe Of Honour (66/1)

15:10 Southwell - 4 September 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

No other way of putting this other than to say this is a weak contest with very few that can provide any inspiration. This could be a good piece of placing as DOUBLE COURT has looked an improved individual of late and off a 3lb lower mark than he would be running off over fences he favoured by the weights and the brush hurdles; looks tough to beat. Grand Enterprise is sound enough but hardly progressing and it could be down to handicap newcomer Go To Court to provide the main threat now she goes handicapping. A duo to note if the money were to come are Dubai Outlaw and Whats Your Beef.
  1. Double Court
  2. Go To Court
  3. Grand Enterprise
