Failed to cut much ice over hurdles for this yard; shaped better returned to the Flat after a 10-month break finishing a modest fourth at Bath (1m2f, good/firm). That should have put him straight, still well handicapped on his old form; worth noting.
C&D winner; middle of three wins this year his latest coming at Epsom off a 3lb lower mark. For all he's won three times this year his form is rather in-and-out (been out the last two starts); visor now reached for in a bid for rejuvenation.
Course winner who cashed in on an ease in grade to score at Windsor in July looking as though he was back to form without having to be at his best. Shaped better than finishing position last time (made effort too early); last winning rider back on.
Bath 1m winner on first start this year off a 6lb lower mark; got back on the up last time (first-time hood; yard in good form) with a second at Newbury (1m1f, good/soft). Has to prove she stays this trip; up just 1lb though, looks a leading player.
Yet fire this season having had just three starts although the handicapper is starting to relent towards this C&D winner. Rated 70 when recording his last win here he looks dangerously handicapped if settling better; note a positive market move.

One or two in this that have shown their best form around here and with David Evans winning this in 2016 it would be dangerous to discount Essenaitch who despite being just out of the handicap looks well handicapped if he doesn’t pull his chance away. A better performance can be expected from Arctic Sea with Rossa Ryan back in the saddle while some headgear may spark Gendarme back to is earlier winning form. Banish is another potentially well handicapped individual but the vote goes to FRECKLES. With the hood that worked well still in place she’s taken to go one better than her last time out runner-up slot at Newbury despite the increased distance she faces.
