Won at the Curragh in June off a 2lb lower mark but the mare has since been well held in a number of starts since, including at Bellewstown on Wednesday. Quickly turned out but hard to make a case for.

Gutsy and genuine filly who is currently on a 17-race losing run but solid and consistent efforts still see her on a 4lb higher mark than her last win. Another bold bid likely.

Gelding who has produced better form on the AW than on turf where he is without success since winning at the Galway festival three years ago off a 9lb lower mark. Place claims but liable to find a couple stronger.

Four-time winner on the AW but yet to get off the mark in 13 starts on turf. Running well in defeat of late and no surprise to witness a big run here.

Seven-race maiden posted a career best when finishing second of 11 beaten 1¼L in a Down Royal 1m4½f handicap last month. Needs to improve but not totally ruled out.

Five-race maiden on turf who posted a career best effort at Killarney on soft ground over 1m3f earlier this month when finishing second of 11 beaten over 3L. Possibility 2lb rise for that effort wont help.

Recently seen hurdling at Roscommon earlier this month. Sent off a big prices in three flat starts well beaten on each occasion and is hard to fancy on overall evidence.

Little to recommend her on her first five starts but she took a big step forward at Naas last time when upped in trip, leading and keeping on for second. One for the shortlist with strong place claims.

Pour Moi filly. Closely related to useful middle distance winner Running Deer and half-sister to 7½f-1m4f winner Heska. Well held in three maidens so far but worthy of consideration and not without hope on handicap debut.

Form regressed for George Scott since winning a Newmarket novice auction contest over 15 months ago. Dismal effort on stable debut at Ayr last month and remains easy to oppose.

Six-race maiden and little to enthuse about in three handicap starts for trainer Stuart Williams. Makes stable debut on a difficult mark for Irish introduction.

16:00 Down Royal - 31 August 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The form of the contest landed by ACARI at the Curragh has seen the third Dare To Flare go on to win. The High Chaparral gelding can win again under a penalty with 7lb claimer Gavin Ryan in the saddle. The improving Mallacoota for the Jessica Harrington yard can emerge as the biggest danger in a wide open contest where Killarney second, Severus Alexander, the Jim Bolger progressive filly, National Identity and the solid and consistent, Passing Trade are not easily ruled out.
  1. Acari
  2. Mallacoota
  3. Passing Trade
