Didn't need to improve to win a 6f maiden at Naas in June, and was disappointing when upped to Group 2 company in the Airlie Stud Stakes here last time. Steps up in trip, and should be seen to better effect, but others appear stronger.

Has shown similar form in 7f maidens at Leopardstown and Galway, finishing fifth both times. Remains open to improvement, with the longer trip likely to suit, and cheekpieces tried for the first time, but faces quite a stiff task in this company.

Closely related to G3 Geoffrey Freer Stakes winner Census and recent Northumberland Vase winner Carnwennan. Stayed on powerfully to land a 29-runner maiden over 7f here on debut, and will be even better over 1m, so looks a leading player here.

Well-related filly who has won both starts to date, a maiden at Leopardstown and a minor race over 7½f at Tipperary, where she beat Royal County Down and Lougher. Will keep progressing as her stamina is drawn out, and respected at this level.

Finished third behind Cayenne Pepper at Tipperary in July, and didn't need to improve when winning a maiden at Killarney. Below form in a Listed race at former track last time, and looks overmatched here.

Has plenty of experience, but seems to have improved on last two starts, and latest 1¾L fourth of 9 to Alpine Star in Debutante Stakes here (7f) last week is the best form on offer. Will stay 1m, and ought to go well again.

Forecasts

Cayenne Pepper (6/4), Brook On Fifth (2/1), Auxilia (3/1), So Wonderful (7/2), A New Dawn (12/1), Azila (16/1), Lougher (25/1)

16:50 Curragh - 30 August 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

So Wonderful sets the standard, and it's always dangeous to assume an Aidan O'Brien filly has reached her limit, but she looks vulnerable to a progressive rival, and both BROOK ON FIFTH, a rare debutant winner for Joseph O'Brien, and Cayenne Pepper look exciting prospects who can make a big impact at this level. Auxilia is also open to improvement, and can't be ignored.
