Nine-race maiden; twice runner-up over shorter trips (7f-1m1f) earlier in the season but hasn't convinced of late and continues to fall down the weights; has some stamina in pedigree.

Three Castles18
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-1| J: J Fanning| T: K Dalgleish| OR:  63

Both of his wins have come with cut underfoot, including when ploughing through heavy ground to beat Sarvi by a neck at Ayr (1m2f) latest; 3lb higher over a new trip.

Cuba Rubap11
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-9| J: D Allan| T: T D Easterby| OR:  57
6/4
Has shown marginally improved form since upped in trip, finishing in front of the disappointing Myklachi at Thirsk (1m4f, soft) on his penultimate start; needs just a fraction more and it'll come as no real surprise if he's there or thereabouts.

Six-race maiden; posted a much improved effort when second (favourite Mkylachi third) in a Class 6 handicap at Ripon (1m4f, good) 44 days ago; holds every chance if able to reproduce that form, but that's far from guaranteed.

25/1
Poor over a range of trips (7f-2m) thus far; very lowly weighted after just a single handicap start; one of two declared runners to sport the Gerry McGladery silks; visor replaces cheekpieces.

Gloryella43
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-2| J: A Mullen| T: Mrs R Carr| OR:  45
33/1
Has scarcely managed to beat a single rival in six career starts (1m-1m6f); out of the handicap proper and simply can't be the solution despite dropping back to an arguably more suitable trip; look elsewhere.

17:10 Musselburgh - 28 August 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Although the form horse is undoubtedly Three Castles and the level of opposition can hardly be described as the most taxing, the Keith Dalgleish-trained runner is worth opposing over a new trip on a sound surface. The likes of Myklachi, Magrevio and CUBA RUBA all have related form lines but a chance is taken on the Tim Easterby-trained three-year-old in a very winnable contest.
  1. Cuba Ruba
  2. Myklachi
  3. Three Castles
