Rated 14lb higher on the AW with 11 wins but just one win from 22 starts on turf. Well below par in five runs since last win and others preferred.

Remains a five-race maiden and no real signs of promise as of yet, including in two handicaps. Handicapper has dropped her 5lb but hard to be enthusiastic about her chances.

Remains 2lb higher than when springing a 25-1 surprise over this C&D in July (beat today's rival John Caesar by ½L) . Well beaten from out of the handicap with cut underfoot at Carlisle subsequently and likely needs quicker ground.

Won on the AW at Newcastle off this mark in May. Form has gone backwards on her last two starts and hard to fancy back on turf.

Sole win from 31 Flat starts came way back in February 2016. Went close on stable debut in a weak contest at Brighton but well below that back on the AW last time. Others look more convincing.

Former C&D was back to winning ways at Catterick in July off just 1lb higher over 1m4f. Matched that when third over the same C&D and suited by the drop to his ideal distance. Should be competitive with a similar effort.

Just two wins from 64 starts with both coming here in September 2017. Now 8lb lower but form has been inconsistent this year. Capable on a good day at his preferred track but stable quiet at present.

Nine-race maiden produced a career best when second over this C&D in July but below that when beaten favourite the last twice. Cheekpieces now added after hanging last start and capable if they have the desired effect.

31-race maiden who regularly takes up rear-division finishing positions at sizeable odds. Impossible to recommend and very easy to overlook.

Showed early promise for Hugo Palmer but has really struggled in nine starts for this yard since returning from a year off the track. Remains easy to dismiss.

Longstanding 39-race maiden has been placed on a number of occasions but has been very poor on his last two starts. Others look stronger candidates.

12-race maiden has proven inconsistent so far. Struggled badly when beaten 21L at Thirsk and while he gets a welcome drop in class, there is the question whether this step up in trip will suit.

Has struggled in five of his six starts so far, but it's noticeable that his one good run came on his only start on quick ground over this C&D. Now 6lb lower and considering how eye-catching it was, he may be worth another chance.

15:50 Beverley - 25 August 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Metronomic comes here in good form with a win and a third over further and at his ideal trip can be involved again. Brutalab went off too quickly two starts back and then hung last time, so if cheekpieces work' he'll be a big danger over a C&D that suits. JIMMY KRANKYAR just hasn't been suited by cut in the ground and with drying conditions forecast, his big run from off the pace off over this C&D two starts back rates worthy of giving him another chance.
  1. Jimmy Krankyar
  2. Brutalab
  3. Metronomic
