Won Chester's Group 2 Huxley Stakes for the second year running in May, and excuses when last behind Elarqam in York Stakes (G2, 1m2½f) here last month, losing both front shoes. Capable of better, but no easy task conceding weight all round.
Below form when last seen in April, but had won his previous five, including the Cambridgeshire and the Group 3 Winter Derby. Remains with potential back from a break, and has leading claims on the book.
Badly drawn last time, but won his first two this season, and beaten just a nose in the Group 2 Summer Mile at Ascot in July. Can start slowly, but has solid claims if he can break evenly here.
Had a bit to spare when landing a good-quality 1m handicap here on penultimate start, and again ran well when third in Golden Mile at Goodwood last time. Worth another try at this level, although has come up well short in five previous attempts.
A Group 3 winner in Sandown's Classic Trial in April, and runner-up to Japan in King Edward VII at Royal Ascot. Not seen to best effect in York Stakes here last month, but drop in trip isn't certain to suit given he stays 1½m well.
Put it all together when landing the 7f Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot, but efforts before and after that are less convincing, and he has yet to prove that he stays beyond that trip, albeit looking in need of a stiffer test last time.
WISSAHICKON was an expensive failure when last seen, but given a long break, and with these conditions likely to suit him better than most, he should be able to get back on track. Zaaki looks the main threat, although Bangkok is also capable of getting involved if coping with the cut back in trip.
