Would have every chance on the form of her fine second in the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot, but she has been below her best in two starts since, and her yard is rather quiet at the moment.

Placed in Group 2 company last year, and better effort this season when third of 11 to Maid For Life in a 1m fillies' handicap at Goodwood last season. Didn't seem to handle the track there, and big chance on the flatter terrain here.

Fourth off current mark in a 7f handicap here earlier in the year, but she has struggled to make much impact in Listed company since, and looks to face a stiff enough task on balance, even if she can bounce back.

Winner over 7f here in May, and has progressed well in defeat since, with her latest third in a Pontefract Listed event another career best. Now 10lb higher than for her last win, but deserves that, and should have a role to play.

Now 6lb worse off with Agincourt having beaten her 3L in a 7f handicap at Newmarket in June. Scored again there last time, but seen to maximum effect, and won't find it easy to dominate here.

Left her debut behind when winning a novice event at Doncaster last month. Not beaten far in a Group 3 at Goodwood last time despite stumbling badly, so hard to rule her out now making her handicap debut.

Well placed to win all three starts this season (odds on each time), and had more to spare when winning by a neck on her handicap bow at Newmarket last time. Up just 4lb for that, which almost certainly underestimates her.

Juvenile Listed winner who was well held on her return at Pontefract, but shaped a fair bit better when ninth of 11 to Maid For Life on handicap debut at Goodwood last time. May prove best short of 1m on that evidence, and not a forlorn hope.

Has improved for joining current yard, winning off 11lb lower at the Curragh in June. Ran well when runner-up there next time, but another rise in the weights does make her task harder in the toughest test she's faced.

Possibly flattered by her proximity when fifth behind Royal Intervention in the Summer Stakes over 6f here two starts back. Well held on other outings, and tendency to start slowly tends to make life hard.

Handicap winner on dirt at Jebel Ali, and made a promising start for this yard at Newmarket when second of 11, despite over-racing in the early stages. A 6lb rise for that could underestimate her, and she is one to consider seriously.

Rattled off a four-timer at Beverley earlier in the summer, and proved she could do it elsewhere when landing a 1m handicap at Thirsk last time. Needs a strong pace at this trip, but likely to be doing good late work, as is her wont.

The bare facts are that she has been unplaced on all six starts in handicaps, but she's slipping to a good mark, and caught the eye when sixth of 18 to Dirty Rascal at Goodwood last time. Claims, for all her wide draw is not ideal.

Beaten a nose by Agincourt over C&D from the same mark in May, but she has not come close to that form in three subsequent runs. Widest draw is a negative, but possible that a return to this track will revive her.

Gained third career win when making all at Ripon in April, and much her best effort since when runner-up there last time. Not so easy to dominate in a field like this, however, and others look to have her measure.

Best effort this season when a staying-on third at Ripon in May behind Gold Filigree, but that form hasn't worked out, and she has been well beaten either side of that outing.

Best efforts on good or softer ground, winning three handicaps this year, including on heavy ground at Musselburgh (7f) less than a fortnight ago. Still fairly treated, but likely fast ground poses a stiffer question up in class.

Suited by testing ground, and built on a good second at Thirsk by winning well over 5f there last time. Well treated under a penalty, but stronger company, longer trip and quicker ground are all serious concerns.

16:50 York - 22 August 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The handicapper has been pretty lenient with C&D winner MUBTASIMAH, putting her up just 4lb for a pretty cosy win on her handicap debut, and she can defy that mark for all this is a more competitive race. Salayel is another with scope for better, and merits a place on the shortlist along with Chaleur and Lyzbeth, both of whom caught the eye despite not handling the undulations at the Qatar Goodwood Festival.
