Holds a Group 2 entry and was well backed for debut on good to soft at Salisbury over 6f last week. Showed some ability on that occasion and should know more now dropping down to the minimum.

Sales price rose from £3,500 as a yearling to €60,000 at the breeze-ups. Half-brother to several winners including Golden Desert and Stosur. Dam won over 7f. Stable can ready a newcomer so needs monitoring in market.

Weak 33/1 shot on Newmarket debut last month and finished sixth of nine. Needs to improve plenty on that for a maiden that may take a bit more winning than usual for the track.

First foal of a dam who won over 7f as a two-year-old in France. Market should guide for a yard that is 11-83 in juvenile department this season.

20/1 on recent debut here but showed little in finishing last of six and needs to make plenty of improvement in short space of time. Has had wind operation since.

Promise on debut and not surprisingly looked better for the drop down to the minimum trip when 4L second to odds-on shot in small field at Kempton. This track should suit and one for the short list.

Promise on debut and stepped up on that with a good second at Sandown last time. Similar progress again will make him hard to beat and looks set to play a leading role.

€100,000 yearling. Second foal, half-brother to dual French sprint winner Samskara. Dam a Listed winner at this trip. Interesting newcomer for trainer having a good spell with his juveniles and betting should prove informative.

Has shown some ability in maidens but ran poorly on nursery debut last time and doesn't seem to be progressing. Could be flattered by her handicap mark of 70 and others may have more scope to progress.

€7,000 fifth foal. Dam won over 6f as a juvenile. Rare runner on the Flat for trainer and only of interest if markey speaks in his favour.

66/1 for debut last week over 6f but always struggling after dwelling and finished last of 10. Hard to fancy on that evidence.

Forecasts

Tommy Rock (2/1), Sand Diego (9/4), Aweemaweh (5/1), Brad The Brief (8/1), Falconidae (8/1), Force Of Impact (20/1), Big Impact (25/1), Barking Mad (25/1), Calbuco (100/1), Handful Of Gold (100/1), Lady Florence (100/1)

14:15 Bath - 21 August 2019 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

AWEEMAWEH was noticeably strong in the market for his Salisbury debut last week and showed enough to suggest he will be of interest here on this better ground and can get off the mark at the second time of asking. Sand Diego sets the form standard on his Sandown second earlier in the month and looks the principal danger. The newcomers are worth keeping an eye on in the market with Tommy Rock on paper looking the most interesting.
  1. Aweemaweh
  2. Sand Diego
  3. Tommy Rock
