Has already shown a good level of form in five starts, highly tried on a couple of occasions but almost came good at Windsor two starts ago, and a repeat of that might well be good enough here. Sets the standard for the others to aim at.
10,000gns Bated Breath colt that's bred to have some speed about him, but yard don't have first time out 2yo winners and on that alone, is best watched today.
Half-brother to Rocket Action, who won as a 2yo for the same owner/trainer last year and he promises to be suited by conditions. Gelded for debut sounds a slight warning note but has place chances if fit for debut.
Bated Breath filly that's been too keen for her own good in two starts, finishing off weakly and although this test should suit her, she may be of more interest in nurseries after today.
Coach House filly from a very speedy family, and should do okay in time, but yard just 1-50 with their 2yos over the past five seasons and on that, not hard to look elsewhere.
Cost 100,000gns as a yearling, and dam was a winner in France over 1m as a 2yo. This trip, on breeding, looks a little on the sharp side but she wouldn't have to be a world-beater to get involved on debut. Market may guide.
Forecasts
Cool Sphere (4/6), Momentum Swing (9/4), Lady Tati (7/1), Merchants Breath (20/1), Lady Phyllis (40/1), Blue Venture (50/1)
This looks a very good opportunity for COOL SPHERE to finally get off the mark. He might not be one for the mortgage, but he'll find this easier than a few of the tasks he's already tackled and this does not look too taxing. Momentum Swing and Lady Tati might be the two to give him most to think about, although Lady Phyllis is speedily bred and could get among the places.
